Advice needed

Hi Guys

Can anyone help me with some advise. In March I got made redundant and haven't been able to find another job yet. In between looking I have been temping as much as I can.

I am now 5 weeks pregnant which is bad timing but we had been trying a while so am thrilled. Am I entitled to any form of maternity grant from anywhere?

I have heard of one off government payments but no nothing about them, is this right?

Everyone who is pregnant can get the health in pregnancy grant (from 26 weeks i think) and its about £190. I think you might mean the sure start maternity grant (£500) this is a grant you get if on certain benefits or low income. You can google both these to find out more info.
