advice needes - oven just caught fire!!

So OH was jus cooking saauages using the grill (its a double oven with grill) when he heard the sausages spitting.. went in to the kitchen to turn them over & the grill was on fire managed to put it out (I dunno how) but there is a now a hole in the grill where the fire is

It's insured by argos (were we got it from) BUT it was installed by my dad, so I've got a feeling there not going to help seeing as a gas engineer didn't install it?,

Anyone know?

I would be really wary of contacting Argos re the warranty though ... it's actually illegal for anyone to fit (or service or otherwise fiddle with) any gas appliance if they aren't a registered fitter.

Technically your Dad could be prosecuted for illegally installing a gas appliance

My mum jus looked ay it & its not a hole its where the grill is screwed in!!
