Advice on Access

A friend of mine has recently split with his gf and they have an 11 month old and she is pregnant and due in Dec. She has been harrassing him for the past week and has refused access to his son. She has also stated that he will never see any of the children again.

I was wondering where he could go for help / advice on access?

if your in th uk best thing for him to do is got to a family lawyer and they will be able to advise him the best route to take. most offer the 1st hour free to x

If she is refusing him access then a lawyer is probably the best way forward. Or give her some space to calm down and see sense.

I dont know the circumstances of their break up but imagine there are a lot of hurt feelings going around and she may be lashing out to hurt him???? In which case avoiding getting involved in emotional confrontations and giving time for the dust to settle might help.

It may be worth writing a letter/email to try to be reasonable and negotiate. Always two sides to every story. But being one myself I know pregnancy hormones can make sense go out of the window and emotions fly. Its most likely a very scary time for her to be a mother of one and pregnant with another on the way and then come to terms with having to do it on your own.
