advice please: huge bleed

Hi All..Im hoping somebody can help me..Im so stressed...So im 10 weeks and a few days now.. from 5 weeks i have had bleeding.At 7 weeks i had another bleed , it was running down my legs..Had a scan and baby was fine with a heart beat..no explanation given...So from week 8 to 9 nothing, but feeling so exhausted, sick, pains in my back and severe headaches... At 9 weeks 5 days i had a huge bleed, like a tap had been turned on, it was pouring out everywhere, soacked 2 bath towels .There were clots and i felt very ill..I was taken to a&e where i was told id miscarried...however the next day i was scanned and baby was fine with a heartbeat.....Thry said they dont know why i bled like that and sent me home....I am terrified as it seems a pattern to me , every 2 weeks i bleed but the last was so bad i nearly passed out..I dont feel right.....I am so worried..I have phoned the midwife today for advice but she has not called back....anybody else had this??

Yes I bleed 4-8weeks then stop then had a really bad bleed again at 12+3 it lasted a few days then stopped now I'm 14 weeks and no bleeding and baby is ok some women just bleed during and thur out there hole pregnancy so just hang in there u should be fine.

You may have a sch, sub chorionic hemorrhage. That would make you bleed until it resolves itself. Good luck to you.

I had a major bleed at 25 weeks - nearly needed a transfusion. They still don't know where it came from bit my little boy is perfect and one month old today! Some women just bleed. Def report it to your care giver as bleeding can trigger prem labor and you may need meds. Hope all is fine with you. X

Hi thanks for ur replies...My midwife says bleeding is not normal but has no ideas why i have bled so bad.....I am now anemic and need iron , as i have been bleeding since 5 weeks... But today for the first day nothing ...fingers crossed that is it now...So scary isnt it......Have my 12 week scan 4th july , im so nervous.......

I had this until 14 weeks, bled like a period every time I did anything and had full on af cramps, it was terrifying! I found strict bed rest to be the best thing ever! It really did slow the bleeding. Hope it stops for you as I know how scary bit is, bleeding is more common than we know,

I had very heavy bleeding during this pregnancy and my last pregnancy, both times i bled really heavy, like a period everyday till 13 weeks, when it just stopped. I also had a lot of pain, cramping and passed a lot of clots. With my daughter they found a reason for the bleeding but this time they couldn't give any explanation. Its a very scary time and the only thing you can do is take it easy.

i had my first bleed at 5 weeks, then spotted until week 7. another major bleed with huge clots at 9 weeks. bled like a faucet for an hour. spotted til 11 weeks. major bleed at the end of my 13th week, actually the night i turned 14 weeks. woke up with blood soaked sheets on my bed and a huge clot. never felt any pain during these bleeds. had a scan friday that showed a baby with a heartbeat of 154. will this cycle ever end? i am so stressed and worried as my first pregnancy ended up a mmc.

Had a bleed on Sunday at 9 weeks after a dream where i had an O (sorry tmi) it was also running down my leg , a blood clot came out later after i peed ..very scary !
Baby is fine though , was put in bed rest and given magnesium ..there are a few reasons for bleeding , SCH ( hematoma) low placenta or placental abrasion .. But sometimes nothing cant bee seen on scan ,specially if you already bled out ..having sex orgasm or a big effort can trigger them ..
Very imprtant to take it easy as the placenta might be detaching a bit ..

Hi all... Seems that alot of us have been or going through this. I have had no further bleeding since i posted this and baby is growing lovely.... So its a bit of a mystery ...Im having a boy and i cant wait to meet him. x

Same here, I've bled in all my pregnancies but this one heavy and early, last weekend I passed a large clot but baby still fine. Fingers crossed no more.

I completely understand... I am like clockwork every week with a gusher... It is unreal how much i bleed and its been like this since week 11. I am now 20 weeks and its still happening.. They found a blood clot right next to my cervix week 12 and as of yesterday they found another blood clot that just appeared behind the placenta. I havent been put on bed rest but no activity of any kind... Its really frustrating knowing i have no control over these and the gushing of blood is so unexpected cause i dont feel anything besides the gush... Baby is good and dr has now decided at 24 weeks i will get the two steriod shots to help the babys lungs develop. I have a gut feeling the dr doesnt think i will go full term but just isnt saying anything... hang in there.. im on the rollercoaster ride of emotions with you...

After almost 2 weeks of no bleeding I just had a small red/brown bit.

It's late at night here so I'm going to sit up for a bit then try to go to sleep & see how it is in the morning. I am so fed up of this.

I know this is an older thread but it was releasing to hear women who've been through what I have been.

I had a huge bleed on Sunday. Gushed like crazy then it just stopped. Passed a medium sized clot. Ultrasound showed no problems. Good heart beat and closed cervix. No hemorrhage.

I'm still terrified this will happen again.

Im still bleeding and have two clots... This has been going on since week 11.... Dont stress... Believe me... My every two week gushing is becoming no surprise... Its frustrating.. but baby is and continues to grow...

no explanation or understanding to why it happens... Which is why Dr has ordered the steriod shots to play it safe... its so frustrating when you do nothing and it happens... i just blame it on my old uterus (lol.. i'm 38 fixing to be 39)
