We are sorting out the babys nursery and tidying things away etc.

As the title suggests we have a fleecey lined footmuff that came with our travel system. It is quite big- like a cosy sleepingbag.

When do we use this? It has some holes in it that line up with the pram harness.

Is it to be used when using it as a stroller like after baby is 6months?

Is it instead of a pramsuit?

Thanks x

Hi, im not entirely sure but i got something similar with my travel system i think its used once you put your LO into the pushchair for when its cold etc to keep them warm dont know if you would use a pramsuit as well...suppose it would be personal preference depending on the weather really!

I guess you can use it instead of a blanket when taking baby out in the cold. I wouldn't use it with a pramsuit unless it's very very cold, though!

I had one of these in my pram when DS was born(his birthday is nov 20th) so it was lovely to use through winter. I put DS in his clothes and a coat and then put him in this footmuffy thingy and he was lovely and cosy but one thing i will say is when you go in shops or just inside anywhere you must remember to take off their hats or else they will get overheated and re apply when before you go back outside. at that age its the only way they can lose any excess heat:flower:

You wont need a snowsuit as well as a footmuff. too much heat. When i had DS i had a snowsuit. its never got used to tel you the truth. This time round i have 6:wacko: but they were all given to me.lol. dunno what i'm gona do with them all:haha:

Its to be used with the stroller part. when using the pram u would normally just use covers. thats why it has a harness for when strapping the bigger baby into the stroller

they can be used from birth but not with a snowsuit as like others have said LO will be too warm i have had them for DD and DS and have one again for LO they are so very warm and i find them most useful when LO gets to about 11 months and discovers his/her shoes, babies have a habit of removing shoes and socks which in the winter is not good lol, if you have a footmuff even if they find their feet they will still be snug! lol xx

Hehe its so funny you asked that question because I got the exact same footmuff and I just put it to the side as didn't know when I'd use it. Seemed to get loads of stuff with the pram that I didn't understand lol

Just had a closer look at the footmuff and the back can detach from the front so that the back can be used as an extra seat pad for the stroller too!

Thanks for all the advice ladies!

I will no doubt have many more questions over the next few weeks!:flower:
