I have a regular 28 days cycle everymonth and first lot of bloods i was ovulating fine, however a year down the line since them first bloods i had them repeated and for last 2 months i didnt ovulate but still my cycle is regular as clockwork. Thinking maybe the stress and upset is having an effect on ovulation possibly??
Anyway the last 3 months on cd 25 i have had blood when i have wiped and each time thought wow AF early, i update my calendars and then shes gone and dont see her till day 28. i was just wondering if you think its just a little breakthrough bleed or if it means anything else, should i just ignore it. Its only happened last 3 months.

I am back at specialist on 5th september, so maybe i should discuss with her

Hi Kaye,

I get this bleeding before AF too. I have a regular 30 day cycle but I get 4 days of spotting starting on CD26 to CD30 before proper AF starts. I don't know what causes it, never had it before I was on the pill, only since I came off it. For me this bleeding is only spotting and is always brown (TMI) in colour. I had the same varying calendar but now I don't count the pre-AF spotting as my period, I just note it as spotting on my calendar and then count the first heavier day of bleeding as CD1.

It has been worrying me too but I read on the internet that women have had this and still conceived. I've asked both my GP and my hospital consultant about it and none of them have given me any real answers.

How do you know you didn't ovulate for the past 2 months? Did you get blood tests to confirm it? I've had CD21 bloods done myself and both came back normal and showed ovulation. Now I just use OPKs, are you using them too?

yes my consultant siad to send me for my bloods again, she said i didnt need too but more to put my mind at rest as previous bloods showed i did. However i had them done 2 months in a row and they both said i wasnt ovulating
