AF and cycle question.

i got my AF back 18th aug after 7.5 months of BF (im still BF morning and night now) and we decided since it was back to start TTC now rather than oct, i needed littel persuasion ha ha. anyway i was just wondering if evryone whos cycles are back were they regular like before you fell pregnant with your little one? my cycles were 31 days so O on day 17, i took some cheap ov tests on holiday with me and did them twice a day from day 12 to 18 and never got a positive, but i did read on the packet a couple of days before they ran out results come up after 3-8 mins and i was chucking them after a min or 2 so not sure if ive missed it, also i never got a positive the month i fell on with imogen and that was with a digi one!! i did however have some EWCM, spots on jaw line (both leading upto day 17) which i used to get before and some niggling pains from left side (i used to get ovulation pain on left side) but not the pains i used to get and it died off by day 20ish but lasted on and off for the week before. so i might of ovulated around day 17 but im starting to convince myself i havnt, especially since im starting to get niggles on the left side again today! sorry if this is in the wrong place, its mainly just to see how others cycles were while still BF as ive read they can be iregular.

Mine returned at around 5 months, the one after that was 6 or 7 weeks later, and now the next one has just come so they're not particularly regular. I used to be able to tell by my body's signals when I was ovulating too but since having LO, I've got no idea, there are no signs. Also AF just arrives, I'll pop to the loo for a wee and AF is there! Before, there used to be a day or so when I'd know she was on her way but now they just arrive all of a sudden

thanks, i did have the signs but im still not convinced ha ha. i never knew when AF was coming apart from that my cycles were regular so i suppose i'll have to wait and see what it decideds to do. i dont like not knowing whats going on with my body ha ha.

I still haven't had my AF yet, but the past 3-4 weeks I have had several bouts of EWCM. I'm thinking perhaps my body was gearing up to ovulate, but didn't actually release an egg. Before I got pregnant, I had long cycles, with usually 2-3 bouts of EWCM before finally ovulating, so I'm thinking in my case I'll be returning to the same pre-preg patterns. I'd say if you had the signs of ov that you had before, there's probably a good chance you did ov, or at least your body was trying to! How long has it been since then? Did you BD around CD17? How exciting - hope this is it for you! We would love to have another too, so I'm hoping for my ovulation to return soon!

we were on holiday in cprus at the time so managed to get a good amount of baby making in ha ha. if it was day 17 id be 6dpo now, and ive already done 2 tests this week (you know just in case ha ha). might do another over weekend, ive got 25 IC's burning a hole in my draw ha ha. but gonna try BD regulary just incase it didnt happen, cause its got to eventually!!!
