After Lap & Dye, should I see a doctor??

Lexus, we did not BD after all, was still a bit sore so might be tonight, I had my third "high" on CBFM today so still in my fertile period, there is still a chance

ineedaseed, am also getting back to normal gradually. what is butterflies? not sure if I have those, will remove the dressing today to check whether stitches look ok. did you do anything with your dissolvable stitches? did you just wash normally or used smth else to clean them? 13 weeks! that's a bit too long, although am not yet sure when is mine, they are supposed to refer me for IVF

they are sutures, like sticky stitches? didnt do anything with the disolvables, they had gone after 2 weeks.
my belly button one didnt look great, the gp advised to bathe with surgical spirit.

I finally removed the dressing, I think the stitches look ok, not too scary, belly button looks a bit different they definitely messed with it. I cleaned around the area with vodka (did not have surgical spirit at hand) and covered it with plaster.

Day 3 for me after lap & dye & decided it's time to shower instead of just washing! Had a look with a mirror & my bellybutton seems weird to me..has a small hole in the middle covered with dried bits of glue Wanted to peel glue off but as it's holding my skin together thought against it!

Having a few pains at the moment as after shower decided to clean & wipe bedroom windowsills so I was streching in tummy area

Also are any of you still bleeding/spotting? I thought mine had stopped but when wiping after a wee I had watery ewcm with blood!

it is day 4 for me after lap, am much better, still painful when I bend or cough, have strong pain in my right shoulder when I turn my head to the left (I do not think it is related to lap though, probably just twisted it during my sleep). I have spotting which is very unusual for me, and it is just like yours lexus I see it when wiping.

we still have not DB after due consideration my DH and I decided to have a good old argument instead, how disappointing, although it is still "high" on my CBFM so not all lost for this cycle

my scars look black not sure whether this is glue or smth else

we finally BD and it was fine but after that I got my peeing pain back, cant even take shower without feeling this pain, bloody hell what is going on

i think the pee pain is normal hun for a few days, i would see the doc next week though if still there as may be a UTI from the surgery?
My wounds looked weird too, the belly button one especially. i am 4 weeks post op and they look fine. scars still quite fresh though.

it is day 6 for me after lap (and CD11), peeing pain is still there so we cant BD anymore (just in case it is somehow connected). my temperature is all over the place and CBFM has been showing HIGH for 6 days now (this never ever happened before, I usually get 3-4 highs before peak on day 13 or 14). something does not seem right. My shoulder pain is not getting better either.

UTI does not sound at all appealing but you are right I should probably see a doctor next week. Am off to work tomorrow but luckily we have a GP coming to our office on Tuesday.

I also got some sort of rash around my scars probably from plasters but I cant just leave them open, can i?

Briss make sure you see your GP pronto just incase it's an infection & you need antibiotics. How's your shoulder pain?

It's day 6 for me & went for a walk yesterday but had to hold my stomach as the movement was painful, it was the same when we had to go shopping & OH was driving over the speed humps like he's in F1!

My stomach is still bloated & I'm burping & letting out the other end + still feeling tired although my appetite is back (eating rubbish!). Told OH that we'll have to dtd in next few days..he was more interested in doing fantasy football!

basically it's awful! I went to GP today and they took urine sample - result - infection!!! Bloody hell! I am so angry! I did not want this lap in the first place, they persuaded me and on top of that infected me with some sh*t. GP gave me 1 week antibiotics. All I know is that before I had this lap I was perfectly healthy...



in case someone may find this useful, the thing to watch out for (if you have pain/uncomfortable feeling when peeing after lap) is whether your urine is clear and if it's not that is the first sign of infection. My GP before he even did the test told me it was infected by just looking at it, it was sort of turbid or cloudy

Oh Briss sorry to hear that I had a row with OH as we only managed to dtd once & it was more like sex not making love, it's like he couldn't even be bothered, at this moment all I want to do is at his head! Also my cbfm showed lows since the lap but I sort of got a positive on an opk, for all I know I may have not even ovulated

oh I know the feeling, my DH does not understand the struggle I am going through with the whole TTC thing, it is like he is almost on purpose trying to make it more difficult. he refuses to believe that position matters. his favorite is me on top but it does not work for TTC especially considering his low SC, he does not get it so a lot of the time we end up having an argument instead of sex.

tomorrow is my last day of antibiotics and I feel much better on the peeing side of life and my latest urine test came all clear, some relief I suppose.

My shoulder pain, on the other hand, turned into a nightmare, it is now not just shoulder but neck as well, I cant turn my head and move my right arm it is particularly painful as I spend all day working in front of my PC and it is really really sore, am on painkillers now most of the time otherwise I cant concentrate on my work. will go to GP again on Monday, something has to be done, I cant carry on like that for much longer

I took off my plasters and just keep stitches open and wash as normal, they do not look great particularly belly button I am not even sure I can see what the actual stitches area looks like, it is all a bit of a mess.

How's everyone recovering after lap?

My neck/shoulder pain is sort of getting better, am going to physiotherapist twice a week but still cant turn my head to the left, too painful. Apparently my nerve might have got pinched during the lap so that's what causing all this pain for 3 weeks after the operation.

Still not sure what to do with the stitches, supposed to be dissolvable but I can see pieces of thread sticking out not sure how they are supposed to get dissolved?

My first cycle after lap was a total mess, CBFM did not work (just gave me HIGHs) and it was only 22 days (as opposed to my usual 27). this cycle CBFM does not seem to work again got my high today on CD6.
