Hello ladies!
So my hubby and I have been trying to conceive since January 2016 (a little over a year and half ago). We finally found out that my left tube had a hydrosalpinx with possible blockage so on July 17th I underwent a diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, polypectomy and curettage (I had polyps in my uterus).
The laparoscopy was a success! They were able to open my left tube, as well as deflate a cyst I had on my right ovary, and also cut all the polyps off of my uterus. Yay!
My question for all of you lovely ladies is....I was put on birth control 4 weeks before my surgery, with instructions not to take the placebos, only the active pills so that they could monitor my cycle and I wouldn't have a period. They continued me on the pills two weeks after my surgery up until my follow up. I took my final pill last Thursday, July 27th. I was told by my doctor that I could continue trying naturally for 3-4 months before we look at IUI and IVF as my egg count was slightly lower than average....but I STILL haven't started my period! I was wondering if anyone has gone through anything similar? And how long did it take you to start your cycle? I've had spotting every day since the surgery (which I was told was the BC) but it's driving me nuts that AF hasn't began yet! I'm so ready to start trying again!
