I suppose it depends on weight/size and also the chances of them tipping it over..I would still be putting Oliver in his had his little chunky belly and legs not outgrown it a couple of weeks ago, he was probably around 19lbs when he outgrew it and is not really inquisitive enough to lean over or anything so there'd have been no danger in tipping him over.
I agree with above depends on weight etc as with when you first put them in depends how soon they can hold their head well. My friends lo is still in her bumbo and she is almost 9 months old.
I wouldn't use it for a seat after they sit well on their own. But I can still use Avery's as a high chair for her if we're going to a friend's house. She's 23 pounds and still fits fine.

Ellie has spinal problems and this is a good way for her to be able to sit without her having to use much effort therefore she doesnt get sore, but she getting to clever lol and can almost get out it, we also were told to use it as part as physio cause she will not sit at peace since getting her cast off but we need to do her physio 3 times a day so yeah its a good wee seat for her and keeps her in place xx
Mamas and Papas Baby Snug looks to be better. Ive read even 2 year olds can sit in it. Im going to get one of these rahter than bumbo because my LO wants to sit up all the time and getting annoyed about laying down.
