Agnus Castus question - All cycle? Im taking it for 2 reasons! help - confused....

Hi,

As some of you may know, we have been TTC for 6 months now and for the past 3 weeks I have been taking Agnus Castus as I've heard it can help regulate hormones. (I get quite bad hormonal acne since stopping BC 6 months ago and am hoping AC will regulate my hormones thus stopping the acne AND helping me to conceive!)

Am I expecting too much from this little pill?

I take 800mg (2 pills) per day after my breakfast and want to keep taking it all cycle to ensure it builds in my system, however, Ive read that when TTC you should only take it up to Ovulation. Does anyone know if this is correct?

So confused! - TTC at the same time as trying to sort out hormonal acne is a nightmare! SO many things I cant take/use.

We sound like twins! TTc for 6 months and started AC 3 weeks ago! I have just OV'd and am going to keep taking AC until I get my BFP!

there are some different opinions about it, some say you are suppose to stop taking it while your on your period, some take it until they become pregnant. i myself have been taking it for 2 months straight, because my periods have been irregular, but in the 2 months i never got AF, so im stopping, i had a lot of acne after stopping bc, and its still a challenge to keep it down, i have tried everything.
i know i didnt really answer your question but i hoped it helped!

i have been trying 11 months with very irregular cycles, so last cycle i took 800mg a day and had the shortest cycle ive ever had of 44 days, carried on taking it this cycle and another shortest cycle at 33 days so its defo working, and i take mine every day and have heard you just stop taking it when you realise your pregnant xx

Hello I love AC I started taking it in April after stopping BC after 12 years. I stopped taking in for a week while on holiday and my skin broke out so I quickly started popping it again I swear by it. I think it's also helped with my AF, it's been very regular since stopping in April.

I take the Boots Kira brand, I think it's 400mg. I take one a day after my dinner. I use it all the way through my cycle and will until I get my beautiful Hope that helps x

I have had a break out of acne over the past couple of days Not good - just coming up to OV so must be why!
