So, I'm waiting in line this AM to order my breakfast, and I overhear this convo between a woman (age 30 per what she said) and two men (prob around the same age).... and the woman is saying how crazy it is that when her sisters kid graduates, her sister will be 43!!! Emphasized by a jaw drop- at this point I'm not sure if she is doing that because she'll be so young or what?! lol.
Then she proceeds to say how when her kid graduates she'll be in her later 40's and -OMG - if she has another kid soon she'll have to use a walker to get down the isle to greet them. Emphasized by her actually pretending to walk down the isle.
Then of course one guy pipes in and says "You know people are gonna say- hey, is this your grandma, Oh wait- she's your kid?!?!?!?"
I know they were just kidding around... and I'm sure I've done stupid crap like that before (not thinking who may be around me to overhear)... and I rarely take any offense to the crap people say- LOL- but for some reason, this AM... maybe because it's my 3rd day on Clomid or because I have more fertility tests later this week or because this cycle is my first round of IUI... I really just wanted to look at her and say "you know, plenty of women are smart enough to have kids when they are truly ready. Financially, mentally and emotionally. And, sometimes, those women happen to be in there later 30's... so I guess I'll be the one with my cane at my kids graduation!".... lol.
Of course I didn't say any of that... but it certainly felt good to say in my head. AND, to share with all you lovely, fabulous and wonderful women!!!
I do feel very good about our situation- and I think because we've had to go through so much, we'll be very joyful when it does happen. And it WILL!!
Best of luck to us all
