Air embolism.

I've been really paranoid lately about absolutely everything. I wait for the green man before I cross the road. I check my fire alarms.
Lately I've been concerned about air embolism during pregnancy. From what I've researched, it seems really scary.
Is there anything I could have done before I was pregnant that could cause air embolism in childbirth?
I feel too embarrassed to ask my midwife because he's a man.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

air embolisms are incredibly rare and and certainly shouldnt occur during childbirth unless somebody physically blew into your birth canal..so please try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy

Haven't even heard of that! I think you're more paranoid than me which is amazing ;)

Thanks!
I am totally paranoid. I think it's because I'm not in touch with my family so I don't really know anyone who's had a baby enough to ask all of those stupid questions. This resulted in me googling 'childbirth complications' and I entered a whole new world of paranoia.
