All over?

Hi there,

This is my first time posting on B&B although I have been reading it for a while. I'm 6 weeks pregnant but I am terrified it's all over. I didn't really have any strong symptoms but I felt that there gradually getting stronger. Last weekend I had some brownish spotting, not much, and had a scan which showed the sac and yolk as it should be at 5 weeks. I have another scan booked for this coming Thursday. However, the last couple of days I have noticed my symptoms have pretty much vanished. My boobs don't feel heavy anymore, my wee is paler and less smelly and I feel normal. I had some cramps on Friday night but nothing since. I'm so scared I'm about to have my 3rd miscarriage in a year, I had one last May and a missed miscarriage in December. I called the EPU this morning and they said there was nothing they could unless I started to bleed and to wait until Thursday. I'm so scared that it's happening again and I don't know who to do.

I know it's hard hun but try not to worry.

It's not unusual to not have any symptoms at this stage, i didn't have any from start to finish with my son.

The brown discharge was probably just implanting. x

Hun try not to worry, symptoms come and go at different times.
I had symptoms at 6-8 weeks then nothing till 10 weeks.

I'm so sorry for your losses, it must be so hard.

All I can say which might reassure you is that with this pregnancy I had bleeding (sometimes brown, sometimes red) until 11/12 weeks and this baby is fine so far. Sometimes symptoms can come and go so please try not to worry. I hope thursday brings good news for you.

hi hun, sendiing you some love..i know how hard it can be after 2 m/c's im forver knicker checkin! Im about 6 weeks and have had no symptoms! I did have a few cramps last week and i panicked so went down to A+E where they arranged for a early scan. Like yourself baby measured 5 weeks and i could only see yolk sac so im in for a scan nxt weekto.

Thank you for asking. There was a baby with a heartbeat! I am so relieved. I was full sure they were going to say it had failed last week. The scan dated it at 6+4 which is what I thought. I just need to put some coping strategies in place for the next 33 odd weeks! I was ecstatic yesterday but I can already feel the fear starting to pick away at me so need to keep it in check. Hee Hee.

That's great news! I know how you feel though. I had a scan at 7 weeks and I'm now having a follow up on Monday at 9 weeks. I was over the moon when we saw a heartbeat at the first one but ever since I've been terrified it will have stopped by the next scan.

I've also had 2 consecutive mmcs before this pregnancy - I don't think we'll ever be able to relax!

I know. It's just so stressful. Every twinge or niggle and you fear the worst. I had some very very light spotting, a smudge actually, when I wiped the other saturday and I made my husband come to the toilet with me for the rest of the weekend and then only when I was about to burst! Good luck for monday!

Try not to worry about your symptoms, i didn't have any symptoms this pregnancy but had everything in my 1st!

Try not to worry, brown blood is old blood so nearly always is fine. I wouldn't start assuming the worst and getting all worried. As long as you don't have pain with red blood then try not to worry xxx

Yes, everything is ok (I think). I have been lurking here a little but I am a bit nervous about posting as I am scared I will jinx things! I'm at 7+3 today which is when i miscarried my first so feeling a bit edgy. I saw the doctor this morning for a referral which was exciting but, again, I'm scared I have jinxed it. You can tell I am quite neurotic can't you, I take after my mum! The doctor gave me a pack of pregnancy related stuff so my I told my husband to take it home and hide it until 12 weeks. I think he must be driven mad. With regard to the symptoms, they are there (I think). I feel a bit sick at times, especially if I don't eat, and I feel exhausted by about 9pm. I am also on "boob watch" every day to see if any changes are happening and I can see the odd blue vein. I also have various niggles and twinges which do worry me a bit but I'm sure are to be expected. So as you can see, the only issue at the moment is me driving myself (and my husband) slowly insane
