Allergies

Has anyone ever had allergies (or known of anyone) when they were babies or just generally younger, that as they got older grew out of them?

My friend had asthma as a baby but by the time he was 2 and a half he had grown out of it and has never had a problem since.

My LO has susppected asthma and a few other allergies and that kind of gave me hope that there's a chance he might not suffer the rest of his life with it, no matter how small it might be.

Just wondered if anyone had any kinds of experience with it or whether he really will be like this for life

I had asthma and was allergic to penicillin as a baby. Now I don't have either. My sister had severe asthma until she was 8, and is now absolutely fine. Mine had gone by 2 as well.
