What are your thoughts on alliteration in names? I am not really a fan of alliteration but one of my favorite girl names is Autumn, and my last name begins with an A. Then of course the initials would be AA. Not sure I like that either.

I am still early so don't know if it's a girl or boy yet. I had this same debate with myself last pregnancy but I ended up with a boy so it didn't matter. lol

I'm in the same boat. We are going with Orla and her surname begins with an O. Not too bothered though, I know other people with double letters. As long as you love the name, who cares right?

my married name is alliterate, never cause any problems

I quite like it actually, it flows well

It's something ive tried to avoid but clearly not very well lol. Our surname is Allonby and we have an Amy and Alice! Hubby is Aaron lol. We toyed with other names and kept coming back to Alice, so even though it's. bit of a mouthful we just went for it- it's not like you call the by their full names when speaking to them.

I actually quite like it, when we were thinking of names for potential future baby I was deliberately looking at names with same beginning as our surname xx

Awesome! Thanks ladies. You are making me feel better about it.

One of the names we are considering for a future child would have alliteration. I think it sounds good, but I am worried that other people will think it's weird.

I really like it! My husband is AA, son is AA and baby-to-be's top 2 choices are also A! :)
