anyone around our age and still not crawling, hes trying so hard ..:dohh:

Sam was 9mths wen he started to crawl x

Colton didn't crawl until around 9.5 months either.

I wouldn't worry too much. Some babies put more effort into communication first and then the physical stuff later. Some babies don't even crawl - my mum told me that I bum shuffled for ages and then just walked.

xxx

I agree with Poppy. Grace is a chatterbox and can say mama, nana, baba and hiya and just generally babbles and waves and claps hands. She can crawl backwards and is trying hard to go forward, getting on her toes, bum in the air then kind of lunging! Maybe if you put some toys in front of him while he's trying he might learn to go forwards to get them

Katie just started crawling on Monday, a couple of days before she turned 9 months, i think that's about average.

maddi's not crawling either :) she's trying too and seems to move by pulling herself around with her hands, but as yet hasn't work out what to do with her legs  she does talk loads, and is progressing great and is very happy so i shouldn't worry honey! i never crawled either, walked at 9months though, though i don't think maddi's there yet either

I never thought Alfie was going to crawl as he would roll everywhere! He showed no interest in crawling at all, until one day he just got on all 4's and was off. I know that was late, and the same with walking, he never took any steps I don't think until he was about 13 months.....he just seems very happy and content to plod along. He loved crawling once he had started (and boy was he fast ) and showed no interest in walking lol.

Dont worry at all !Some skip crawling and go straight to walking!! But the sounds of it he seems to be trying his hardest and i spect he will be off in no time! TBh the average age for LOs to crawl is around 8-9 months :)

Lily only started at about 10 months hunny. If hes trying hard thats a great sign. x
