Max has always been a baby who spits up allot , dr said it was reflux but very very mild and should go away once hes on solids ..well it hasn't

Every time he eats about 1 hr later hes still spits up food just by folding over or playing (kicking) why is he still doing this ?

When its milk its part milk part clear liquid (TMI and smells like cheese):dohh:

and when its solids its even worst its never allot but still poor thing gets changed at least 8 times a day if not more ..

It does sound like reflux.

My youngest was like this, i was so fed up of following her around with a towel and spray to clean the carpet went to docsand he gave us infant gaviscon which i mixed in with her cereal in the am and then yoghurt @ lunch / tea.

I would go bacl to GP.
My DD grew out of it a couple of months ago when she was about 18 months old.

I still have some gaviscon sachets in the cupboard but seeing as its a white powder I don't think it would clear customs otherwise I could maybe of sent you some.

Thats what I thought :( oh well ill see what GP says when i go see her ..hopefully she can find something that can help..

And yeah lol white powder wont cross the border lol

Colton is EXACTLY the same. He will have his good days, but then some mornings he will spit up like 6-7 times the first two hours he is awake. I just couldn't deal with it anymore. I called and got something for reflux from his pediatrician. Started it this afternoon; and he puked once since. But I'll continue to use it and see how things go.

My son had reflux for awhile into the solids thing, but he was put on Zantac by his pediatric GI and it healed him right up so it diminished and now he has no problems at all. I would talk to your GP and see if they want you to see a specialist or she can manage it. The GP had me on the wrong dosage so it was adjusted when I saw the GI doc. Don't know if this will help, but I hope the situation resolves soon :D

I dont know much about reflux, luckily Erica has never had this.. She did spit up a lot for awhile tho, and we switched to soy formula. That made her constipated and still spitting up. So we switched again to Enfamil Gentlease. It made a big difference. Do you already use a sensitive formula? Id def ask your ped tho, it doesn't sound good.

How are things? Have you thought about calling his doctor?
Colton is on a sensitive formula (from the start.. because he was constipated), but I dont think it's so much his formula anyway because he pukes up everything (including food, juice).

Still the same :( but ti dosent seem to hurt him anyway thats whats weird ..after eating if we move him to quick be spits up , if he kicks playing he will spit up argghh im running out of bibs lol

He is on a store brand formula since day 1 , enfamil made him sick big time ..then he went to nestle good start but even that made him sick ..once we tried this one it was much better as its thicker and he keeps it down allot more then the other ones ..but still spits up ..

I got an appt with his ENT dr tomorrow so while im there Ill get an appt for his tummy

Well just been to the dr and he dose have reflux arghhh:( the milk I have to buy now is that darn hypoallergenic one at like 60$ for 4 cans WTF i dont have that kind of money :( he also prescribed Zantac which hes on 3 times a day for 1 month ..is there any other formula I can get ? got a few questions
is my baby allergic to milk ?
Can he still have his cows milk in the am with his cereal ?
Is soy formula ok? would that help in anyway

Ohh poor baby boy! I would definately try the soy formula. Hope he gets better poor thing xx

aww.. sorry his new formula is so expensive. We get WIC, so I get 10 free cans of Colton's formula a month; which is a huge help. But he drinks so much we still have to buy 5-6 cans a month, and it's $19/can.. ($76 for 4).
Glad you got him some meds though. We got some for Colton and he takes it three times a day aswell. Just started 2 days ago, and not doing much yet. Although I talked to my mother (a nurse) and she said it will take a little bit to get into his system.
Oh, and BTW.. Colton's never bothers him either. He will have puke fly out of his mouth and just continue playing like nothing happened. I think he is just so used to it.
Poor babies!
