I love to hate the internet!!!

I goooooogled ectopic pregnancies and now am imagining I have all the symptoms....

Shoulder pain
aching legs
pains

WTF!!! Why am I doing this?????

Can any1 please say something to me that I can reason with????

I can definetely say 100% that Googling is a really bad idea.... I've banned myself from doing it, as I always end up thinking the worst. It's amazing what symptoms you suddenly experience after reading half the stuff on the web. Best thing I've found, is to ask the question on here.. and then someone else on here finds our for you. It's always easier to reassure someone else, than it is yourself

I have driven myeslf mad with looking at stuff - it even got so bad that when I had my 2nd early scan on Monday, they found fluid in one of my tubes. I was convinced that although I have a strong baby in the right place that I also had an ectopic- mad!!!!! all becuase when I got home I googled "reasons for free fluid in tubes!"

In some respects the internet is brill - I wouldn't be without this forum now. But you need to think that stuff can go on the internet and not be veted.

If you really are worried go speak to your GP- as I am at a greater risk of ectopics they monitored my HCG levels in blood tests and got me early scans.

I am NOT looking through Google for any of my questions now.

I think I have lost the plot!!!

I keep on saying the strangest things....
I actually shouted to my DH b4 completely the wrong thing, I shouted something that I was texting, instead of what I wanted to say....he said' 'eh?'...
Keep on forgetting things too..
Also I poured juice into a pan instead of fairy lipsquid!?

And now with the ectopic preg thing...sheeeesh!!!

I've gone bananas!!!!

I learned when I was a little girl and I was deathly afraid of the end of the world,I ended up being so frightened that everytime a plane flew by,I thought it was a comet...

This afternoon i convinced myself i had chicken pox or something really bad - the reason, 4 spots scattered around my upper body!!
I have googles symptoms before, it always gives u the worst option, never again!

You are not alone cat....it's sad but I can't get excited about being pregnant at the moment for the same reason. I have had it drilled into me so many times that I am higher risk of having ectopic that i actually think that it is going to happen. so I've sort of stopped myself from getting too attached to my bean in case the worst happens. I know it's probably all gonna be fine and people keep telling me that i'm being silly, but it's a real fear and I don't think I'll relax until I've been for my scan next week and seen for myself.

Donna- How long do HCG levels take to come back from GP???

Hi Hun,
My GP's don't do blood tests anymore- instead they send us direct to the hospital to a blood taking clinic, that way they don't waste time wating for deliveries etc. I had my first lot done on a Friday morning and my 2nd on the Tuesday.
I had promised myeslf I would wait for both tests to come back before I rang up, but I gave in on the Tuesday to check if the first lot were back - to my suprise they were and had been since the Monday.(not that one result alone helped. but ectopics generally have a lower number for how far gone you are- although I wouldn't panic as it is the rate at which is rises is the important one.)
Fortunately both times the receptionists were really nice and gave me the numbers, but some of the other gals on here have had to fight for them!!

I'm sure ur local GP may do it different, but I would presume that you would have results that week.
