hi there everyone!
am i right to demand clomid after being ttc after 1 1/2 years!me and my partener have wanted a baby for so long!i am over weight but its coming off slowly but very very surely!its one thing we want the most but am i right demand the medication!i have been diagnosed with pcos and my gyne has said that the earlier i have kids the better for me it will be!as i have the syndrome its just goin to get worse!i'v always wanted children early and we are ready!but not havin any period and not ovulating i cant get pregnant on my own!so please help me in advising me if im right or not!or if u have infact done this urself!

I am not certain - but I think you can have clomid - depending on the circumstances of your pcos, but not just because you have pcos. Do you ovulate on your own, have you had your tubes checked if they are blocked etc? You are better to know that before you go down that road.

I know they often have strict guidelines regarding your weight and clomid so depending on what you weigh they may ask you to lose a little more weight or they may be happy with your progress.

As Blue said, there are other tests they should do before prescribing you clomid as they need to make sure they have the best solution for you as an individual.

i think i might have to ask to have more tests done then!i have had 2 u/s done and they said everything was good apart from my cysts!they sound my womb was perfect lol!we really want a baby so i suppose i will have to have the rest of these test done first!im findin it so hard cuz alot of my friends r either pregnant or have babies!and i just want it to be our turn!thanks for the advice tho!x x

I totally understand what you mean that you just want to be pg. I do recommend testing so at least you know if you really do have a chance - I have a tube problem - so it turns out it never would have been possible. Best wishes and keep us posted on your tests.

If you have PCOS then I would think they will want you to continuing trying to lose weight as this helps improve PCOS. They may want to check your tubes are clear first too via a HSG test and then try you on something like metaformin to make you ovulate.

i'll keep u posted as im goin to see my gyne in feb!i am already on metformin and have lost a stone and half since i was told to lose some weight!i will defo get them to do more tests tho thnx again girls x x
