tuesday - 28
wednesday 28 and 1/2 oz
thursday 32 and 1/2 oz
friday 25 and 1/2 oz
saturday - 31 oz

i havent seen the health vistor since the 17th and she said she was doing fine.. but ive had to up some of her feeds to 5 oz cos she screams for more after shes finished 4 oz :/

she doesnt sick very often and wen she does its just like a bit of milky dribble...

am i feeding her too much?
anyone else got such a hungry baby??

Hi hun, u cant overfeed a new born. Just give her what she wants & dont think about ozs. As long as she's growing well & not getting sick frm feeding just give her what she wants. There is a growth spurt at 4 wks & she might be going through one.

My LO was a really hungry baby at that age and never thought she was going to stop!!! lol
She is now 9 weeks and has just started to slow down with her feeding and settles at between 5-7 oz now which sometimes is what she was drinking at 3 weeks.
Your LO sounds fine to me. :flower:

i know i just worry i shouldnt worry though, shes happy and healthy sooo i should just leave her be lol :) thanks for the reasurance =]
xx

Don't worry honey :)

She'll just spit it back up if she doesn't want it,sounds like you're doing a great job  x

The chart on the tubs are usually just rough guidelines. Each individual baby will have an individual appetite, and it sounds like yours happnes to be a hungrier baby :)
As the others have said, if she was having too much then she'd bring it back :hugs:
Demand feeding is the best way to ensure that she's getting what she needs, especially when it comes to the growth spurts...she could be going thru one of those right now too, they have so many in the first few weeks!
Dont worry sweetie, sounds like you're doing a great job

I posted a really similar thread- Daisy is the same! She was only 3oz smaller than your baby, so I'm guessing that's why they're eating so much x

I have a hungry lil monkey as well and have been worried im over feeding him. I hear people worrying that their 2 month old is over eating and i realise they are eating the same as my LO! He has anywhere between 3 and 5 ozs every 3 hours. Sometimes he doesnt make it 3 hours between feeds. The midwife said it is fine, and only to move him onto hungrier milk when he starts drinking so much it makes him sick, but he is still hungry. If LO isnt throwing up then i would assume she is only taking what she wants x

Ignore what it says on the tub! Like others have said you can't over feed a newborn - they'll just posset up any food that they don't need. If your baba drinks it and keeps it down (after any normal posseting that most babies do) then they need it X

Also- you def shouldn't go by the chart on the back of the formula, BUT, if you look at the weight rather than the age then that might match up a bit better- don't worry if it doesn't though!

thanks =]
tbh the charts on the tub shouldnt be there, makes people worry too muchh lol!!!
could i put her on hungrier milk??
does this just make them feel fuller for longerrr,, and will she still put on weight????
xx
