Am I strange - Re: Lego

I love lego! I'm also pretty happy making towers out of wooden blocks when my niece gets bored of playing with them. :haha:

I also really love Lincoln logs. I gotta get some of those...

Lego rocks!
I also adore Playmobil.
I decorated my wedding cake with Playmobil figures - it was a hit! The kids at the wedding loved it because they got to play with them. But not take them home! :growlmad: They were MY toys! :haha:

As soon as I logged off the other day I went and ordered loads of lego.. I just had to. I'm starting to get impatient now, it hasn't arrived yet!!!

I loved lego til the other day when my friends nephew showed me a lego porno he had made on his ipod  im to damaged to look at lego ever again!

As a result of this thread reminding me...I went in search of the big box of legos meticulously organized into bags by size, color, and purpose. I've been finding room for them in my boxes and suitcases for the last 2 days.

Then, I might have played with some. :haha:

Lego porn followed by Lego OCD?
I love this thread!

My lego arrived! And I spent half of the day building it with one of my 3 year olds (the other got bored after a half hour) and my nephew. My SIL came in and saw me sat in the middle of a sea of lego, and said "Oh you bought the boys some new lego" and I said "Noooo, this is for me". She looked at me like I was crazy! Then when the baby cried I got up in a hurry and stood on some lego.. it hurts... a lot

Standing on Lego barefoot is the worst pain ever! :nope:

Lol, this thread is reminding me of coming home from school to find my dolls house rearranged where my mum had had a play (or a tidy up as she still maintains to this day!!!!!)

Um, I "tidy" my sons' play barn and animals almost every day...

One of the perks of having children is that you can do childish things that would generally be socially unacceptable for an adult to do. Like for instance I love going down this big twisty slide in the park, my excuse is my son doesn't like going on it alone because it's dark, which in my defense is a genuine excuse!

I would ask for Lego for Christmas but it is a bit embarrassing

I'm really hoping for a boy when I have little ones, I much rather play boys games and with boys toys than girls!

Sanctuary!!!
ANY kid gets to play Lego!!! No way is it a boy's toy. I had tons of the stuff when I was a kid and I happily mixed all my sets up with those of my little brothers and we spent hours building stuff together.
Lego is one of the most gender-neutral, cooperative, creative toys ever! It's a classic! Right up there with a set of wooden blocks. All kidlets will find a connection if they get a chance. And um, their parents, too.... :)

My daughter has all the boy and girl toys.

She plays with Legos, toy trucks, action figures, and whatever else.

We have no kids yet and we buy Lego for each other, Hubby gets the Star Wars Lego, last year i got Black Pearl and this year im hoping for some Lord of the Rings Lego. They do some amazing kits for adults, like remote control cars (got my Dad that last Christmas) and they have a range out which is famous structure around the world.
My parents are coming up to see me soon and hat i do i take my Dad to the Lego shop (he is 68 and runs around like he is 6 in there) so see what he would like for ideas for Christmas. :haha:

:haha: Hehe that's so true. I love lego, but would never go out and get some for myself, so I play with my boy's lego! My sons have action men figures and stuff, and their cousin gave them an old barbie so I'm the barbie and then the action men must come save me! It's so much fun!!!!! I say i just do it to entertain the lads! But it's probably me having more fun

My boys have a barbie thrown in with all their action figures! And my son Eli has a doll and pram! I swear! He was at his cousins one day, and my niece was playing mummy's and daddy's with him. And when it was time to go she said he could keep the doll and pram because she already had 4 prams and about 20 dolls! He runs around the house with the doll and pretends to be my husband. His doll is a boy called Danny!
