Hi guys.

I had a mc 5 and a half weeks ago, still waiting for af but thats a whole other story.

I am 26, will be 27 in october. my dh just turned 27. I was thinking today about ttc again and we originally wanted to ttc after af came, if she ever shows up! but i am having thoughts that i am now too old! maybe i am just being a drama queen but I am really worried that my body is just not going to work

x

Sweets... you're not too old!!! People have babies in their early 40s!
You wouldn't even be considered old by the health service... they consider "older mums" to be those over 35... (sorry, hope I'm not offending anyone)...

so you're not too old, least I hope not as I'm 27 and think I'm still a teenager pretty much!! x x x x

Good grief no. I am 42 and my body works fine (well the odd blip here and there)

Are you kidding? People have healthy natural babies in their early 40s let alone 20s.

No way.. I just turned 32, I hope that isn't old. Some days I feel 50..

I felt the same way after our loss, maybe my body just doesn't want to do what it is suppose to do anymore because I am too old. And the constant (you aren't as young as you use to be) from people when I would complain about something hurting for longer then a couple of days.

I wouldn't worry about being old, you haven't even hit 30 yet sweetie. Doctors will tell you that they consider Advance Maternal age to be 35 and over.

Sorry for you loss:hugs:

Hun, if you're too old then I'm way past it lol. I had my 2nd daughter at 28, lost my 3rd at 30 and am TTC already. It's never too late and to be honest I enjoyed my 2nd daughter at 28 much more than my first at 21 (not meaning I didn't enjoy my 1st just that I was very young and at 28 I felt more ready to be a mum)

I know after m/c it's hard not to doubt your body. I never had issues with mine till now!

Good luck with whatever you decide, it has to be right for you x

Hi Franky! You are so not too old!! I'm 38 and still hope to give birth over my zimmer frame again one day!

:hugs:

Sorry for your loss :hugs: I hope you are okay.

and you're absolutely not too old .... it's very natural to have doubts after an m/c I think ... but in reality you have got Plenty of years left for many more babies (although I know that's not at all helpful to hear when you are grieving for your loss).
I'm 36 now and pregnant after an mc, and I REALLY doubted I would ever get pregnant again, but actually it didn't take very long. I wasn't so much worried though about my age (though that is a factor), more that I didn't know what caused it. It's still very early and I'm still anxious, but I know plenty of people older than me that have had natural, healthy pregnancies and babies, and as others have said, your body is able to carry a baby until well into your forties (and later in some cases).
You will need to grieve in whatever way works for you and then consider how you want to move forward. Good luck and take care :hugs:

noway honey i had my 1st at 28 and i thought or felt too young still im trying for no 5 at 41 so your just a babe so loads of time:hug::hug:

I have just miscarried a baby after having 3 healthy ones before. I am wondering if my age is a factor, if it would not be wise to try again. I am lost in grief right now, so I know it's not the right time to think about it anyway. My partner does not seem sad at all, is this normal? I just wish he would share my grief, after all it was our baby.

your not too old at all babe :hugs:

I know exactly how you feel but you are definitely not too old! Not by a long, long way. Some women even fall pregnant at 45 so you still have plenty of time left in you yet. But I do honestly believe that the younger you are, the better your body is able to cope with pregnancy. I don't know if this is true but if you look at all the teen pregnancies when a lot of them still go out drinking, smoking, taking drugs and still end up with a baby at the end of their 9 months (albeit probably not healthy babies).

I'm assuming you've had 1 miscarriage and from what I've read, your chances of your next pregnancy being successful is exactly the same as a woman who hasn't had any previous miscarriages. Don't give up hope. It will happen xxx

Well if you think your too old, then im in the same boat

I turned 27 last Friday and Baby No3 is coming in 48 hours.

You not too old at all.

Im so sorry for your loss.

I hope you :bfp: arrives soon.

V xxxx

You're not too old but your post sure made me feel old, lol!! (just kidding, hun btw :)) :hugs:

As already mentioned, it is, sadly, perfectly normal to have a mc and there is certainly nothing, either statistically or in research/studies that states you will not be able to go to term next time.

Look at me: Im just 39. I had 2 mc's last year and after testing at the pre-pregnancy unit it was even stated to me i am very fertile indeed. As it happened it was my thyroid that most likely caused my mc's.

Please take the time you need to feel confident again, but please do not lose hope that you will be a mum probably sooner than later.

Chin up hun- you will do it! :)

Old!...phft! :)

, OMi xxx ='x'=

oh dear!
I can relate to this!
I do feel old too, too old.
I feel so sad we've been waiting too long to conceive a baby.
Because now I know I wont have my first baby at 30 and then things gets more and more difficult to work...
I know the percent to conceive a baby decrease a lot after 30 and it saddens me so much.

But I also know I am not that old. and so aren't you!
Look at yourself in the mirror, make yourself pretty and keep being positive it'll help your body to work!

blessings

Yikes no, I'm 32 & TTC my first!!
