Hey guys, I hope I'm not but....I think I'm pregnant. Help?

Is this your first time taking birth control? If so, then the chances that you will become pregnant are very high as you're supposed to weight a certain amount of time before having sex without a condom.

I have been on the Mercilon Pill for about a year and a half.

Well then you technically shouldn't be ovulating as BCP prevents ovulation and the period it gives you isn't an actual period, but withdrawl bleeding. It's still possible for you to become pregnant from missing pills, however. So was Saturday the last time you took your pills? Missing three pills does increase the chances quite a bit, if you don't want to become pregnant it's best that you continue taking your pills as normal, including take today's pill. Also, get the morning after pill as it's effective up to 5 days after unprotected sex. Since you've missed 3 pills you probably need to use a condom for a week or so, it depends on the pill, if you have the information packet that came with it, it can give you the exact amount of time.

We are now thinking that if I am pregnant, then that would be ok. We have decided I shall not take no more pills from now, as lets bring TTC forward.
I did take todays pill as I took it before having words with the OH.
Although I am not going to take it from today. I am ovulating this weekend.
So hopeful will get BFP. It's always fun trying!!

If you've been on BCP for over a year, and therefor haven't ovulated in over a year, how do you know that you're ovulating this weekend?

I went on an online ovulation calendar thingy. I have noticed that every month I have a white egg like in my pants. My friend is on the pill and still ovulated for some reason.

If not I will just keep trying until I am successful. :happydance:

Hey hun, just wanted to say that if you're on the pill and taking it correctly you most probably won't be ovulating as that's one of the ways it works, by stopping ovulation. You do however get a withdrawal bleed from the pill and if you enter this into an online calculator it will assume this is a full period (as if you weren't on the pill) and thus give you a date for ovulation. As you've missed some pills this will also interfere with your cycles and you may already have ovulated when you missed them. You might also find you get some irregular bleeding now as your pills are a bit messed up.

On the other hand, Congrats on your decision to ttc! :) xx

I had sex on both of the days I missed them. I have normally found that every month it looks like I have ovualted. Well I have now stopped my pills. And hopefully ovulate, I hope I do!!
Fingers crossed, if not, better luck next month!

you're meant to wait 7 days before having unprotected sex :)
and off topic but
A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bank balance smaller, home happier, clothes dirty, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for
i love that :)

If you had been ovulating every month the entire time you were taking BCP, then it wouldn't have been working correctly and you already would have wound up pregnant. Again, as already stated BCP prevents ovulation.

i agree with Nic if you were ovulating then the BCP was not working therefore you would of become pregnant. Good luck with TTC.
