Amniocentesis????????? results????

Hi! its paraniod me again!!
Does anyone know how long it takes for your amniocentesis to start to show signs in the lab of there being something wrong? i had mine done on monday and so far not heard anything, although they did say 7-10 days, would a abnormality have shown up by now???? (my scans show no signs of there being a problem).
Also my dics said they would call for me to go to collect my results when they come back, is this normal or should i only go in to get them if there is a problem? i live in spain so maybe they do it different out here.

It is around 10 days before you will hear anything, they will not let you know anything until the tests are complete. As for picking the tests up, because there is a language barrier and it is Spain, this could be the reason! Good Luck! I would look on it as no news is good news! x
