hi all just an update i have the hospital for a checkup 3 weeks after my m/c and life is getting easier, but i have a quiry

i dont mean to be crude but i can only explain it as this,
me and my boyfreind have started intercourse again and ive heard your more fertile after a m/c so my boyfriend pulls out when he comes but bcoz im more fertile and if a bit goes in will the chance i will become pregnant be more than before the m/c???

also how long after a m/c do i expect my first period? the hospital hasnt made anything clear and its frustrating

thanks and i hope everyone is ok
 x x x

Well, the pull-out method is not very reliable at all...and I would say that if you are doing that method, then there is a good chance you could become pregnant. So, if you are not wishing to be pregnant right now, then I would suggest another method-such as condoms at least. Some sperm can be in the pre-ejaculate, so that is why it is not reliable. Sorry to hear of your loss.

Im sorry to hear of your loss.
I completly agree with JASMAK, if you dont want to be pregnant right now you really need to consider using another form of contraception.
Whatever you want, i hope you get it soon :hugs:

sorry for your loss :hugs:
yes it is possible to become pregnant even before you have a period, It took 8 weeks for me to get a period x

I found out I was pregnant 6weeks after I lost my baby Thomas. It was a complete accident but as it took us 9months to conceive him, I never imagined I could get pregnant after just 1 erm....session.

best thing that could have ever happened to us though. lauren is now 6 and a wonderful little girl:cloud9:

It's so uplifting to see stories like this. It gives me hope that someday soon I'll actually be a mom.

We've been using the same method although I know it is not fool proof, we used the same method for months before conceiving last time and I didn't ever fall pregnant, I know that's not to say it can't happen though! x

Aww babe....I lost my 1st two babies shortly after they were born and thought I'd never take a child home from hospital but now I have 3 gorgeous kids:happydance:. I had a miscarriage 9 months before falling pregnant with my last child and the baby I'm carrying now was one of twins but I lost one at 6/7wks...so still had my ups and downs but they were worth it in the end.

Stay strong and be positive (sooooooooooo hard, I know):hug::hug:

Sorry for your loss hun.
I don't know if you remember your biology lessons from school but Jasmak is right, the withdrawal method is not an effective method of contraception at all. Semen is released in the lubricating fluid all throughout sex, not just when your man ejaculates. There's about a 1 in 4 chance of getting pg. Sorry if this sounds harsh, I really, truly don't mean to cause offence to anyone but it's 2008 and I do always wonder that if people don't know this kinda stuff these days, are they even ready for sex?

I really do wish you and you bf the best of luck for when you do try to concieve xx

I don't want to speak for the OP but I know when I had my m/c I felt guilty about wanting to TTC right away like that if I m/c again it would have been my fault for not waiting or that in trying it was kinda like saying that my bubs was not important to me. If she is just using the withdrawl method perhaps a tiny part of her is hoping to get pg. If you dont want to sound harsh then perhaps you should be careful about how your post comes across because it sounded harsh and rude to me.
