Angelcare Movement Monitor

We bought this for our baby on the way! We have it setup in the cradle in our room for the sole purpose of using the movement part of it. I don't think I would be able to sleep very well without knowing if she is breathing! I am paranoid enough as it is!

We are in the US too by the way :)

I suppose if you are looking for a brand new one it will be the same price..but there are secondhand ones for cheap.

We brought the tommee tippee(sp) one. Not sure if it does the same job, but my SIL had one and said it was fab. I will be setting it up in our moses basket. I think it will give me piece of mind, so I get a better sleep without getting up and putting my hand near her mouth to check she's breathing.

We're getting the Tommee Tippee one too, Mum's bringing it out with her from the UK next week! I don't know how I'll be able to sleep not knowing for sure baby's ok otherwise!

On our list too. Can't imagine why they are not more popular...

I wouldnt use it when in the same room if your breast feeding

i found it a nightmare! everytime i got emily out of the cot middle of the night beep beep beep urg

there is a hold button on the monitor that you are meant to press before you take baby out as it stops it from going off while baby isnt in the moses basket then you just press the button again when you put them back in

I just got mine today as a gift.. It has recieved such good testimonies. one couples child had undetected sleep apnea and the monitor would pick it up every time... I feel so much better about dd1 and dd2 sharing rooms....

I have heard tons of anecdotal internet stories of babies being tangled up in blankets or something making the monitor go off so parents rush in and save them.

There is a button on the monitor you just click it off when you take baby out and put t back on when you return them to their cot. I have forgotten on occasion, but it's not that big a pain in the arse. Certainly not something to not get one over.

I brought one of these, it looks so flash lol, It's just to give me extra piece of mind as I can be quite paranoid! I think I read you need to charge it before you do, does anyone know if this is right, and if it is how do I stop the alarm while it charges?

you can change settings on it. its all in the instructions plus you dont need to turn it on to charge it just plug the charger in and put the monitor in the charging dock

You can choose not to have the pad activated. There is a sound monitor only mode to it. :)

We have the angel care monitor and will be using it in the crib in our roomx

Thanks girls, that's my fiance not reading instructions to things again! :haha: xxx

Does anyone have the Tommee Tippee one? I bought it on ebay for £15.00 (bargain lol) but it doesn't come with instructions so I'll have to figure it out.

Do I just put it under the mattress in the moses basket and run the wires out through the bottom?

I wish I'd bought the Angelcare one, I know it does the same thing but I'm just worried the TT one isn't going to work and it'll miss something :-(
xxx

I really want the angel care one but talking to my DH and family they think im just being paranoid  will have another think x

Ive seen one in Boots and think Ill buy it! Get lots of
points too

I bought one with my DS when he was a few months old - & it really put my mind at ease as I'd be waking up & checking constantly - even tho he was in a Moses basket next to the bed.

Will be using it for this baby too. I would totally recommend it. Best £70 I spent on baby stuff!
