So I was trying to catch a sticky bean this cycle but I think I'm going to have another 120 day never ending cycle again. According to everything I've read around the time of ovulation you should notice an increase in cm and all I have noticed is that I seem to be really dry and I'm due to ovulate this week. I plan to get ahead of the curve this time and will go grab some vitex and try and to avoid having such a long annovulatory period this time around. Wish me luck. It's just so weird like when it's time to bd it gets wet sorry tmi but usually I have some type of cm all times of the day and cycle and this time around when I should be ovulating there is nothing. I don't temp not use opks so my only method of tracking is that side pain which I felt around cd 7 or 8 and cm which was wet around the same time but has since dried up. Help please!!!!

Sorry to hear what you're going through. I'm on cd 40 still waiting for the witch to show up and I hope she does soon because I don't want to have to deal with a 120 day long cycle either. I've started to increase my dosage of vitex and this weekend I'll be picking up some dong quai. It's a Chinese herb that works really well with vitex to regulate hormones and menstrual cycles, and it increases blood flow to the reproductive organs to increase fertility. GL hun!

I tried to grab some vitex earlier this week to get started and the local gnc store was out of stock so im waiting for it to be uin

Wow, that sounds like a bummer. Remember that the vitex can take up to 3 cycles to work its magic. I take grapefruit juice in the first half of my cycle to get more ewcm, so that might help, but with the annovulatory cycles I am not sure what to do beyond the vitex. You're right that the wetness you feel when you're about to bd is different and isn't considered cm. Is there a reason why you don't use opks? I'm guessing because of irregular cycles, but just figured I'd ask, and that helped me understand my cycles a lot better.

Remember to think positively- maybe it won't be a super long cycle this time after all! Sending lots of luck to you!

I'm getting more and more convinced that's it's another annovulatory cycle today is cd 14 and this morning not at the first morning go but a couple times today I noticed spotting it was brownish and missed with watery cm and it wasn't there when I wiped just on my underwear. I started to think that maybe I was ovulating because I'm noticing sharp pains in my left side but I read some where online that kid cycle spotting is a sign of an annovulatory cycle and I know during my 120 day cycle I had light spotting like this every two weeks pretty much the whole times. In beginning to get extremely discouraged. I haven't started using books because my cycles are still really unpredictable and I don't know when I would even think to use them considering that. I'm starting to feel like this will never straighten itself out I started to think I was also because I noticed an increase in wet cm it wasn't the creamy milky white cm I had all throughout my previous cycle but it was clear and wet but not like egg whites like ewcm. I honestly don't know what's going on anymore.... It's so frustrating.

Hey i wanted to ask you a few questions about the dong quai. First did the dong quai bring on your period? If so how much were you taking, like what dosage per day? And lastly, how long did you take it for before it brought on af? Thankyou so much.

I had suffered with anovulation cycles for 2 years. Only ovulating 3x a year, I had no idea that irregular cycles were due to anovulation. Did some research and started vitex Gaia brand 1000mg 30mins before breakfast. Oed cd 38... Then cd.. 21... And now cd 13. Haven't had 28 day cycles in almost 3 years!!

robinsonmom, how long after beginning vitex did you start to notice a change in ovulation dates? Also were you temping to track ovulation or using opks. I'm asking because i took vitex for a month stopped for a month and have recently begin taking them again with no intent of stopping them until i get a BFP. I was taking 2000 mg daily but have cut back to 820 this go around because i have read that overloading your system can be counter productive. I have even muddled with the idea of just getting on bcp and stop trying for a while because this whole never knowing when af is getting frustrating. Not to mention every time i have one period i automatically assume that its late when it doesnt show up 28days later and then go crazy every time i see the BFN. Who knew ttc was so stressful.

I waited until I got AF and started the vitex on cd1. I didn't think It was going to do anything and started to get discourage because my body was gearing up with pos opks but my tem didnt confirm. I read it takes a few months so I relaxed and gave it time. I ovulated on cd 38 it felt longer because my cycles were still long. Every cycle my o day moved closer and closer to cd 21 now I o on cd 14 and have a 28 day cycle. So it took vitex three cycles to regulate my body. I temp. I kept getting in patient but I didn't give up on the vitex and I took it alone with my vits. Even though lots of people suggested maca..dong..and other things. I owe it all to vitex saved me lots of money stress and time. It makes it a lot easier to ttc. I saw a change immediately i went from not oing at ALL for over yr to Oing every cycle.

So I didn't have an annovulatory cycle thank god I just have really late ovulation. This month I ovulated on cd50 better than last time though. Didn't ovulate til like cd110 or something. Starting to see a clearer view of my cycle now that I temp and I must say its beautiful not to spend unnecessary time thinking my period is late when it's not actually late. Think I'll keep on with the temping it saved my piece of mind.
