I had our Anomaly scan today - first off we found out we are team
All measurements were spot on - more so on the bigger percentile already haha, however the concern the sonographer had is that there was no fluid in his stomach. Now she said she wasn't overly worried but would like me back for a re-scan tomorrow to see if there is fluid there.
Now, silly old me had a look on google - this is what i found - Usually when there is no fluid, 9/10 times it means it is a possible esophageal atresia - which means the esophagus is not connected to the stomach intestines and the rest of the digestive tract. This would require surgery right after birth to repair this.
I have to go to tomorrows scan alone as my DF has to stay home for a delivery and look after our DD, i'm worried it will be the worse case scenario.
Has anyone else had anything like this and all has worked out ok? xx
