Anomaly scan

So I had my anomaly scan done today...and have to wait until Friday when I see my doctor to know results and make sure everything is ok (hopefully).

During the scan the sonographer asked me to go empty my bladder to try to make baby flip the right way so she could get the rest of the images.
When I came back to the examination room she was gone an extra few minutes.
Now thinking back I'm wondering if maybe something was wrong and that's why she took a few extra minutes to come back? Or could she have been asking the radiologist if she had enough clear images of the baby?

I can't help but worry now...anyone had a similar situation where everything turned out fine?

The sonographer didn't mention anything but where I live they're not allowed to say anything good or bad...all results are given to you by your own doctor at a later appointment.

Please try not to worry, it's so easy to think about thinks a lot, trust me I'm an expert in this pregnancy, anxiety is my best friend.

I've had to empty my bladder during a scan before because I needed a wee TOO much and it was making baby a bit too squashed so they couldn't see properly!

I'm not sure why she left the room, but that could have been for a number of reasons so please try not to look into it too much. It's always an anxious time though - the system works very different to the Uk; here they tell you right away if they found anything and then you have to wait until a more experienced department can get you in...took 4 days with mine.

I'm sure everything will be ok, just stay well for you and baby xx

The tech had me empty my bladder and walk around to try to get baby to move. Everything they saw looked good, but we had to make a follow up appt to get the images they couldn't get because of baby's position.

Perhaps when you went to empty your bladder she decided she better do the same! Try not to worry until someone tells you to <- that's the best advice I've been given about pregnancy/babies/children in general.

Thanks everyone. It really is hard not to worry over every little thing or to read into things too much.
I will just try and relax until my appointment with my obgyn this Friday!
