So the girls both have another cold, terrible stuffy and runny noses. Last time this happened DH was home for a week for the girls birthday but now it's just me and so much harder. Last night I probably got 3 hours of sleep on and off since they kept waking up not able to breath out of their little noses! I tried to suction it out and gave them the saline spray in the nose but nothing is working. I also use a warm air humidifier at night with some Vick's medicine it it that's supposed to help.

Was wondering if anyone else has found anything helpful to keep their noses clear? Any tips would be greatly appreciated at this point!! And on top of it all i'm feeling like total crap as well!

i find raising the head end of their cots a tiny bit helps breathing when LOs have colds

The joys of colds! Sorry they are both sick hon.

Here are some things that may help:

Vicks vapor plug ins.
I know here that they have battery operated vapour fans that you can set anywhere and I've set them almost beside Chase's bed at night.
Leaving the window open a slight bit at night in their room.
Sitting them in the bathroom and steaming up the room while running a hot shower.

Agree with the above poster about inclining their heads at night.

I agree with having the window slightly open - just a touch. Its helped us soo much!!

Thanks for all the suggestions. With leaving the window open, will it get too cold in there? Do I have to dress them more warmly? I'm sucha freak when it comes to temperature control!

hope they feel better soon :hugs: i have found inclining maddi's head to really help and to put some vick's on a muslin and tie it to the cot x

Dont know how cold it is over there??
Here its warmed up a bit, so I just dress him the same for bed.
I've popped the window slightly open but so you cant feel a breeze IYKWIM??

Well it's supposed to be 41 degrees F tonight, not sure what that would be in Celcius, but I get what you mean about the window!
