(Another) EWCM and (another) OPK question (sorry)

Hi gals

Well I'm now on day 17 of my cycle. Have done OPK test again this evening and this morning and not even a sniff of a line

BUT, I have got more EWCM now than I did yesterday (it started on Saturday).

So I was wondering, how long does EWCM last for before ovulation? And the OPK tests, do these actually work for everyone? I have visions that I just don't have the hormone that's picked up by the strips

Another thing as well, when you ovulate does AF always come 14 days after? Or can it be a lot longer/shorter? Just wondering if a) I've ov'd early, b) I'll ov late or c) I'm not even ovulating due to my PCOS and my mc was a fluke any advice would be helpful thanks

Just wanted to add that the ewcm is produced by progesteron by the follicles that release the egg in your ovary. So i wouldnt worry about the opk's hun..just get busy and you wont miss the ov!!

Interestingly, you can also get ewcm after ov as residual progesterone, again, will produce it but thats not the case here of course
