Another question...im a nurotic mother i know!! but i have noticed that patrick seems to blow bubbles into his bottle, like hes spitting milk back into it...what does this mean? should i take it out of his mouth when he does this?

Coltons bottles do this. Its just him letting the air that he has sucked out of the bottle (along with formula) back into the bottle, instead of breathing it out of his nose, he just sends it back into the bottle (basically).
It's not going to harm him, I would think its a good sign, all that air thats going back into the bottle isn't going into his belly.. meaning less belly ache and less burps to come up.

thanx ladies i know im been nurotic, cant help it i think its a combination of him been my first and feeling guilty giving up breastfeeding. does you baby seem to zone out when hes having a bottle and for a bit after he has finished one..patrick does this and it worries me!! also how much was your babies taking in a bottle at 2weeks, patrick finishes 3oz and seems satisified with it. today im trying to hardly breastfeed him as he breastfed a lot during the night.

At 2 weeks, we started offering Olivia 4 oz.......sometimes she'd take just 3oz, but more often than not, she's take the whole 4 oz. If you think your LO might want more, make up the extra & offer it.

xxx

Wow, I'm lucky if my 6 week old baby takes 4 oz now... I wish she would! And she was 8lb 12 when she was born and is about 11.5lbs now.

Just given him 4oz on his last feed...he took it, and i think he could of had a touch more!! greedy little man! none has come back up either!! xxx
