any advice greatly appreciated

right this will probs be a massive post lol ill keep it as short as possible
right so i went for a growth scan on wednesday and they found baby had virtually no fluid around her and that she was nearly 5 weeks behind in size so they sent me down to andu where they monitored bubs and gave me steroid injection as they were thinking if the low fluid carrys on then they will induce me at 34 weeks so anyway i went back yesterday as i needed the 2nd steroid injection and while i was there i mentioned that i hadnt felt baby move as much s they hooked me up onto a monitor and checked my stats which showed my heart was 132bpm my bp 138/89 im usually around 110/65 and babys heart rate was all over the place for 20 minutes but soon settled down . it did show she was active but im probablly not feeling movements due 2 liquor volume being so low the ctg also showed i was having tightnings but i wasnt feeling these and they werent regular according to the ctg so they took bloods and sent me up to the ward to wait for results of blood . and while i was sitting there i started 2 have back pain that came and went but didnt mention anything as im so fed up of being in hospital all the time so i came home as my bloods were ok the only concern they had was that my white blood cells were a little high but was orderd 2 have repeat bloods done friday as im seeing my consultant . anyway i came home feeling very tierd so was in bed for about half 11 then was up at 3 wide awake so i got up and cleaned the house and all day ive had this back pain and im having shooting pain up my vaj every now and again with a little tightnings does this sound like labour ? sorry i did warn you it would b a long post lol xx

hmm... i had the shooting pains in my vaginal all of my third tri as well as regular tightenings which were braxton hicks. its hard to know really. i'd say if your concerned just go back. they won't mind and it'll put your mind at rest. what i will say is that when labour really does kick off you will definately know. xx

haahaa... i'll so be the same next time too! did they say you'd need to come back early once labour starts due to the low fluid? or could you wait it out and see if the contractions develop. If there is any risk then i'd just go back.

they want me back monday for a scan to check fluid and maybe induce at 34 weeks im just worriued about the pain ive been having today and lack of movements but on the other hand i dont want them thinking im overreacting

i had to go to the day unit on labour ward at 38 weeks for itchiness which turned out to be obstetric cholestasis and i was induced at 40 weeks. they told me to come back if i had any worries. could you ring them for advise? thats what i did and they then told me to come in to see them. it will help put your mind at rest. I'm a nurse and a phone call to them won't "bother" them. i promise. and if it turns out to be nothing i can assure you your not the first person! lol
