I stopped taking the pill in November 2008 and no period since. Been to the doctors a few times and the message is always "give it a while it will come back". I had a blood test and ultrasound earlier this year which confirmed I don't have PCOS. I've finally got a referral to a specialist who wants to do scans of my fallopian tubes, and more blood tests etc before considering whether to give me hormone injections. Apparently I have low estrogen and a thin uterus lining which might be the issue. He also wants my husband to come in for tests which I don't understand because there are obviously issues to deal with in terms of getting my periods started before we need to worry about anything else??
Are all of these tests usual? I've heard lots of stories about people who get prescribed clomid to get things started again without having to go through all of this?:
