I am looking for cycle buddies for this month? I just got my AF today and have not been in a very good mood today - feeling down as we have been trying for 8 months and have not had any success yet. My husband did a home SA test and it showed normal result, so now I am thinking should I go and get some tests done? any suggestions please..

me me me!
no advice, today was rough for me too:cry:
hoping this month is it. if not i have to wait until february...my brother is getting married in sept 2015 so will need to fly back to the states then. fingers crossed for us!!:flow:

hope you feel better!!!:flow:

i'm gonna try forcing myself to the gym later...i hate working out but i need to get out of the house and probably need the post-workout endorphins even more:sad1::blush:

That's true Jumpingo. Hope you are feeling better now!

I started going to gym again starting yesterday - need to get regular at it, atleast to get endorphin rush :)

So, you live in Japan only temporarily or are you from there? It's wonderful how in these forums ladies from all around the world start becoming friends. Since when have you started TTC ?, I see that you got married in June this year - Congratulations on your wedding! :)

didn't actually go to the gym but feeling better after going to a friend's wedding (hello :wine:) last night. thanks!

i am originally from the states and have lived in japan for 8 years. i met my husband (but he's american!:haha:) and we got legally married a year ago and finally made it "public" with a wedding this past june. we were pretty much waiting until after the wedding to start ttc, so i'm on cycle 4 for september. will take a break until february if it doesn't happen this month.

how about you??

haha thats funny! yeah :wine: can do wonders :) - I am originally from India but living in the states since 2009 - me and my husband are both here on a work visa, and had not been TTC till now as either one of us was doing our masters and other one was working.

well, it also does a number on my head the next day!:haha::dohh:

i want to visit india some day! a friend did study abroad there in college and another friend traveled all over india recently. she took some gorgeous photos!

what kind of work do you do?

Yes, you should visit India - it would kind of be a culture shock but there are some really nice places to visit. I myself have not been around much in India. Planning to go to India this December. I work in Computer Engineering - making hardware chips. How about you?

I have heard Japan is quite good and much ahead in terms of technology compared to U.S., how do you like it there?

i worked at a bilingual school for kids ages 0-5years old. it was a mommy and me type school where we led art, music, creative play, dancing, etc. classes for moms and their kids. i loved it but the management b.s. became a bit too much, along with a long commute once my husband and i moved in together, so i quit at the end of may this year. now i'm a housewife:shy: i didn't imagine i would quit my job until i was too pregnant to work, but things don't always go as we planned, right?

it's advanced in the type of things they MAKE, and cell phones were definitely way more high tech here before they were in the US, but personal (in home) computer-wise, i feel like they are way behind.

7 years ago i worked in a private middle school that had 20some teachers and 2 computers that looked like they were from the late 90s in the teachers' room. no internet, which was probably for "safety" reasons, but i visited a couple weeks ago and teachers who want internet at work just get around it by tethering their computers to their phone wifi or plugging some other wifi capable device into their own laptops on their desks. so ridiculous. if they were worried about safety, seems like they would just provide a network so that they could control firewalls and all that, but instead they now have a black market for internet!

i love japan, but now i live on a military base, which is basically like a mini-America. reverse culture shock was definitely real for me the first couple months. am still sort of fumbling around trying to figure out my "place" here.:nope:

wow, sorry for such a long post...

Really nice to read your post - It might have been fun spending time with little kids!

I always thought I would love to be a teacher and I actually now I think that it might be fun volunteering and teaching kids, haha atleast till we have our own. :shy:

yeah and I don't understand why do they try to keep everything secure - people who want to figure out different things to do they will no matter whether its banned or not-ridiculous. I remember when I was in India at my work they used to keep all kinds of firewall but that did not prevent people from using facebook at work if they wanted to.

Oh wow, so your husband is in military? - thats really nice! hehe I think the same in U.S. after ~6 years that I am still trying to find my place here :)

it was awesome. i love kids and they seem to love me, so it worked. i was really sad to say bye to them, and to their parents, when i quit. i also got to see a lot examples of the kind of parent i *don't* want to be though too:wacko::haha:

yeah, he's in the military. it has its perks and he is a good fit with the military lifestyle, but he has been pigeon holed into his job and can't train to be something else, so i'm guessing he'll get out when his contract is up in 2 years. then who knows where we'll go!:shy:
