Any english girls doing a baby shower?? or at least wanting one

I live in england but, where i live (london) its really common to have baby showers

I live just outside london, If theres loadsa people that do them in london, does that mean there is like specific shops that do stuff for them??

i find it bazaar that the UK mainly doesn't do showers!!! is that more of an American thing then?! I wouldn't know what to do without my shower!! Here, thats where you get the majority of your baby things!

yeah deffinatly an american thing. i dont think people really started doing them over here untill it was on tv shows and films and then we started thinking ooooh thats a good idea

xx

My MIL is throwing me one in February :D
My BIL and his GF are buying our travelsystem (they've set up a bank account for LO and everything!) So they want to give it to us then..
I cant wait :D a few of my older friends have had them and they were really fun!
xx

People in the UK DO do baby showers, i've heard of a lot of people having baby showers and been to quite a few. It's common from what I know.

Really? Must be nice.
All of the stores here in Canada (Ontario) have like nothing baby wise and it is SSSOOOOO expensive. -.-
I did want a baby shower, but becuase of my age I would have found it awkward for me ): But I got everything given to me anyways. :)

my mum did me one it was absolutely amazing, she even made me a nappy cake and we played games, it was such a brilliant day :) id recommend one to anyone x

I'm having one! And i'm quite looking forward to it. It was my mums idea as she loves planning parties and things because i have a big family. She says its good way of getting presents! :haha: That is what the term means isn't it? To shower the mother with gifts? :)
