So I went for my first scan on Friday at 7+1, and the tech was very cold and harsh and basically said it looks bad, although he did say it could just be too early. My gestational sac was measuring 6+5, except it was empty, or as he said it was "fuzzy" and he could not tell? When I looked at the screen I could have sworn that I saw something. I went in to my doctor today for the results and basically was diagnosed with a blighted ovum, off of one unclear ultrasound? He kind of jumped the gun there. And he did mention there being a placenta in there. I went to the ER to get checked out and have an ultrasound booked at the hospital tomorrow and hopefully they'll do an internal, but when I was talking to the ER doctor she said that at 7 weeks it's likely too early to see anything anyways and not to worry too much. I've read tons of stories of blighted ovums being misdiagnosed especially before 9 weeks, what do you guys think? I have terrible terrible sickness that just gets worse everyday, and my hcg levels were normal.
