Any moms with piercings/tattoos/mods out there?

Wow, way too many posts to reply to everyone anymore, but we have some really hardcore ladies here! lol

I thought about taking out my industrials and getting my ears pointed, but they can't give you pain meds for it, and it just seems like it would hurt so bad. But I love pointed ears, I think they're so pretty.

You can get it done abroad under anesthitic (sp?) but the thought of having what is basically surgery with out pain meds...EEK!

But a girl i used to know had it done look awesome!

I have a few friends who have there tounge split...creepy when after a year or so and they can move each half on its own.

Anesthetic must be so nice! Here in America, only licensed medical professionals are allowed to administer anesthetic, so piercers and body mod artists can't use it. So we point ears and split tongues with nothing. The thought of splitting my tongue with no pain help... *shudder!*

I'm sure I could find a plastic surgeon who would point my ears with anesthetic, but it would be REALLY expensive!

You can split your tongue by taking a very fine string and tightening it a bit every day after a fresh tongue piercing apparently.

My ex done it that way but ended up finishing it with a razor blade as it was painful

Eh, I don't actually want to split my tongue, but I have watched videos of it on YouTube out of curiosity. I like my tongue piercing, but I prefer my tongue in one piece.

I heard the string method was more effective and less likely to have the split part shrink in healing if you used a healed tongue piercing, but I never verified, as I don't want to split mine.

I do think it's really cool to see the people who can move the halves of their tongues independently, though. It's neat. I think hubby would be too disgusted to kiss me, though if I did it. Haha.

But he probably wouldn't mind me getting my ears pointed, as we both love fantasy and elves, as well as Lord of the Rings, Legend of Zelda, and Dungeons & Dragons. We're nerds.

i have five piercings in my ears but only wear two now. had belly button done twice but never re-pierced after my 2nd baby.
Have 2 tattoos on my lower back and hip and after this baby (my last) I am planning a chain of flowers, either on my foot or over my c-section scar. Will have 3 forget me nots for my angels and three flowers of pink/blue for my born babies.
My husband has loads of tattoos all over his upper arms and back - it's my time to spend some money on ink!

I'm quite happy I've stumbled across this thread...
I currently have 13 piercings:
* 3 lobe piercings in each ear
* 2 cartilage piercings in my left ear
* 1 cartilage piercing in my right ear
* Nose
* Lip (just one on my left side, considering getting the ride side done)
* Tongue
* Navel
For my piercings, all the cartilage ones I did myself (there's actually more than three, but I can't wear earrings in them because they hurt), and I did my lip myself when I was like 14. I am considering getting my nipples pierced, but I'm a little nervous about how much it's going to hurt. And I just wanted to mentioned that I've had my tongue pierced for 5 years and I've never once swalled the ball to my tongue ring. I'm terrified of it happening.

I currently have 3 tattoos:
* Aiden's name and birthdate on my left shoulder
* Madalynn's name and birthdate on my right shoulder
* Seraphina's name and birthdate with angel wings in between...I've attached a picture of my tattoo for Sera and my tattoo for Aiden. I don't have a picture of my tattoo for Mady, but it pretty much looks exactly the same as Aiden's.
I have a few more tattoos planned out, but nothing definite yet. I'm getting a tattoo for Christmas, though. So all I need to do is finalize some of my ideas and pick which one I want to get.

Okay so I am I the only pierced one here with a piercing below the waist? Or are people just not admitting? I feel weird now!

I don't have a "down there" piercing, but I'm seriously considering it. I'm just really nervous about how much it's going to hurt. I really want to get one, though.

Any of u who like me got all your piercing when u were younger...does getting one now make u cringe.

Like i really liked my nips but took them out in preg and they sealed shut now but just the thought of getting them redone makes we wince just at the thought. which is silly really being i recently went through birth which ment to be the most painful thing ever.

I cant count how many tounge bars i swallowed/nearly swallowed. had to wear a plastic bar for a while, just in case. lol ( but i did have tounge/webbing/ smilie/ lip done...so lots of bits of metal to accidentally swallow.)

I won't lie: getting my nipples pierced HURT SO BAD. They had two piercers lean over me and did a 1-2-3 count. Except the guy on the right started AFTER 3 and the guy on the left started ON 3. I thought I was going to die. I yelled an obscenity or three.

And then the one on the left was crooked! So I had to take it out, let it heal, and then do it over. It DEFINITELY hurts much more the second time for those of you who are wondering.

They were really sore for about two weeks, but then they then have been fine ever since!

I did have my tongue pierced too, but had to take it out because it was so sore. Getting my eyebrow pierced was agony!! The piercer said they'd never seen someone with such thick eyebrows (as in the skin the pierce through, not my actual eyebrows )

I had my belly pierced in 4 places, industrial/scaffolding and my nose, but they are all retired! I now just have my lobes and helixs' i also have a cover tattoo, i did have an indian ink done but had it covered, and i have my daughters name in my foot, i want lots more just need to save and lose some weight

I've got my ears pierced three times. I did have my navel pierced but it took it out because I didn't like it, I also had my nose pierced, but took that out too when I got a 'responsible job' lol it felt like the right time to take it out so I wasn't bothered.

I also have two tattoos, a black bat on the back of my shoulder and a Buddhist mantra around my wrist (I'm not Buddhist, I just really liked what the mantra represented)

I've had- eyebrow, nose, nipple, belly button, ears x 4 in total, tongue
I currently only have- ear lobes & nose. Can still put stuff through my belly button and my one upper ear piercing

I also have 1 tattoo (daughter's name on my back) nd I'm going for 2 next year. A crown & something to pay tribute to the ordeal I've been through this year with my accident/injury

BY FAR my ears hurt the worst! Nose was painful as well (have had it 2x because my first closed up, don't think I'd redo it now!) I also prefer piercings to tattoos because it's more painful but it's over reallyyy fast, tattoos aren't as bad as I thought, and IMO you can tune it out after 5 minutes or so, the artist usually chats you up or you can bring a friend

Piercings: I've had 3 in each ear lobe, belly, nose, ear cartilage, and forward helix. I've only got the forward helix now. Would love to get a labret piercing!

Tattoos: a heart on my left wrist, and a blue bow on my right side between my hip and my ribs. Actually, that is a cover up because I had a blue bow by a really shit artist, and went to another one to redo it. I love it now!
I really want a tiny star on the back of my neck, something on my right wrist, a quote on my left ribs, and a big snake on my thigh.
