Hi everyone...I had a C-section with my son and I honestly can't think of anything worse than to go and have another one with the next baby...

Did anyone go on to having a normal delivery with their second child?

Thanks xx

I had a C section with My son after 36 hour labor never went past 4cm, I was induced I had no cervix change or anything was closed so I think that's why the induction failed that was Feb 2012 !

Now Im 38 weeks pregnant Being inducded August 30th at 39 weeks and at my 36 week apt I was already 2cm dialted so I think this time the VBAC should go smoothly!! my pregnancys were only 10months apart so she said that's great my body is progressing on its own & hopes I go before the induction SOOOO I say long as your cervix is changing at full term you should have a natural delivery no problem since only certin induction ways can be use after a c section!!!!! goodluck wishing you the best of luck in your pregnancy & Delivery!

Wow that sounds really positive!! I bet you are so pleased!! I found having a C-section really put a damper on the whole birth of my son so I can only wish I have a normal delivery...I had to have a C-section due to not dilating...do let me know how you get on!
Hope you enjoy the experience (as much as it possibly can be enjoyed ) And a very big GOODLUCK! XXX

I had a c section at 34 weeks due to severe iugr. I had an induced vbac 3 months ago. Pain relief free. They broke my waters to steady my contractions and baby arrived 2 hours later via a forceps delivery. They did try and push me into a repeat c section, along with my oh and mum, but I done as much research as possible and made a very informed choice. I hated my c section and felt I'd somewhat failed. My vbac was an extremely positive experience and with my next pregnancy I'm hoping for a home water birth x

I had a emcs with my first due to brow presentation and a failed forceps delivery. Hated it and was very down afterwards. Having a natural birth was very important to me. My second was a successful vbac. Went into labour at home at 40+6. Got to hospital at 8pm and was 4cm. By 10pm I was fully dilated (did get to pushing stage with my first) and pushed him out myself at 11.10pm. Laboured on just gas and air and pushed on nothing as they took it away from me. Very positive experience. Had a second degree tear and my poor vagina was more sore than I expected but way easier than the section recovery. All healed fine. I'd say do your research and decide what is important to you. For me a normal vaginal birth was incredibly important. This is my last baby so I knew I'd forever regret not trying and thankfully it went well.

I'll let u know at the end of March 2014, lol.. VBAC'ers Rock!

Hi,
With dd1 I had an emergency c-section after I stopped progressing at 9cm due to her being an undiagnoised breech.
Both my 2nd and 3rd babies were VBAC's and the best experiences ever! Still at hospital but no pain relief or intervention and home the same day :)
I did use some Natal Hypnotherapy during dd2's pregnancy which I do believe helped.
This time I'm going to see a consultant and attend a VBAC clinic, which is strange as I haven't ever done those before.

I would never elect to have another section unless my baby was in danger.

Talk to your MW and consultant, educate yourself so they dont force you into any decision you are not happy with.
Good luck xx
