Hi :) I had two early mc in a row in a four month period and took me a long time to get pg. Anywho, I have been having these premenopausal symptoms for a couple years and I'm only 24 yes old. I finally got my docs to check on it for me and I'll know the results in a couple days. They checkedy stuff out and said it looked normal and wasn't dry comparing it to menapoaual women so that's a relief. They did blood work for thyroid and a few hormones but they didn't do my estrogen!!! She said she thinks I have a thyroid issue from the sounds of it and from my charts of sympotms and MC's. I was wondering sweet ppl who have this to help meh out and telle your expierence with this if you were able to carry a baby, did it do any damage to you at all and just what ever you feel the need to talk about to me. Thanks so much, take care.

I would like to add it may he hypothyroidism BC of the symptoms I'm having. Here's what I'm experiencing : very dry vagina (can't have srx without lube) hot flashes, nausea, irritability, anxiety, slowness with my mind like remembering and comprehension, pain during sex like my cervix is short, bad pain from periods, light period and barley lasting three days, extreme constipation, tired all the time, emotional most of the time, peeing a lot. I think that's about it but I've been going through this for a couple years. I even thought I was pg a lot until I got pg and know the feeling now. Thanks for ur time. Be blessed!

Hi,
I have an under active thyroid.
My doctor picked up on this when my eldest was 6 months old. My symptoms were heavy bleeding, constant tiredness, bad hair/nails/skin, anxiety/depress & horrendous problems with my memory & concentration. Since then we have had another little girl, but sadly we had a miscarriage last week, i was 5+2
You need to make sure your on the right dose of thyroxine, so hopefully you will regain some sort of normality xxx

Hi,

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when my son was also 6 months, extreme tiredness was my main symptom, my tsh levels were 26 which is v.high, normal is around 0.4 - 4.5. I was prescribed thyroxine and fell pregnant around 4 months later. Unfortunately I miscarried the baby, my endocrinologist at the time didn't increase my thyroxine dose when I fell pregnant and I have since found out that new guidelines should see you increase your dose even if your levels are normal when you conceive, mine were 2.3 (which is within the safe range) but during the first 12 weeks your baby uses your thyroid so you need the extra mediation, particularly around 9 weeks when the placenta takes over. My new gyne was pretty certain that I lost the baby due to the hypothyroidism not bring properly checked and controlled during those first 12weeks - the baby stopped growing at 10weeks 4days. I have since changed endocrinologists and I fell pregnant 4 months later. I had to increase my thyroxine from 100 to 150 as soon as I conceived, even though my tsh was fine, and I had my tsh checked every 4 weeks. I'm now 28 weeks pregnant and fingers crossed all seems to be going ok. I think the most important thing is your tsh levels are monitored in the first trimester and your thyroxine medication is increased. Find a doctor who is knowledgable about hypothyroidism and you will be fine. Also, hypothyroidism, PCOS and diabetes/insulin resistance are all linked, they are in the same family of hormone/endocrine disorders and you may well be experiencing symptoms relating to these too. Good luck and I want to reassure you it is possible to carry a baby even if you have hypothyroidism, just make sure your doc is aware and knowledgable.

I just got a call back from doc and the nurse said that I'm ovulating and not in premenopausal state. I'm not sure if that means I'm just ovulating or my levels are fine. I guess if they were out of wack the doctor would have called me about that. I'm really co fused BC that didn't explain if all my hormone levels are normal, it could mean that I ovulated but still have messed up levels, right? Well I guess if it was not normal the doc would help me. Guess it could of been something else or might have been by chance the mc happened. I'm still extremely tired all.the time and can't have sex without lube. The one hormone they didn't check was estrogen.thanks ladies :) you are all so sweet!!

My mum was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism when she was 15yo. She went on to have 5 kids from when she was 24-30yo and apparently her levels were never checked. She's on 200mg doses and has never had any trouble conceiving or any losses (she's 52 now and still on the same dosage).

I concieved my DD in 6weeks. We were really lucky. No issues. She is now 13months and we have been ttc for the past 8months with no luck. 3 weeks ago I demanded a blood test. Found out I also have Hypothyroidism. My levels were 19. Dr started me on Thyroxine straight away and I just got a verrrrrry faint bfp 3days ago (about 10dpo). I have been spotting and having blood when I wipe for the past 4 or 5 days and have POAS the past 3 days and the bfp is getting darker but is still ever so faint. I would have thought at 13DPO it should be stronger. I always had regular cycles before I fell pregnant with DD. They returned 6months pp and have been soooo irregular. In these 7months they have been anywhere from 14-42 days long. So I'm counting on tracking my bbt this cycle to see an approximate date I may have ovulated.

This spotting and faint bfps are making me increasingly nervous! I am leaving to go overseas in 2days for 2 weeks and am now panicking I should have my levels checked... I don't want to miscarry :-(
