Hey Ladies, I'm 21, have been NTNP since January, recently began TTC. Doctor is sending me and OH to a fertility clinic. Just looking for someone to share the experience with.

I'm also 21 and TTC with PCOS, I'm happy to share experiences :flower:

Nine months at the end of the October, I was diagnosed with PCOS last month. Which made sense as I would rarely ovulate. What about you?

Mee :) Im 20. TTC #1, on cycle 12. TTC for 12 months ntnp for 3 years prior.
MMC in March this year, and mmc in 2010. Currently trying the Sperm Meets the egg plan and 1dpo into the tww! xx

Hello! Nice to see another young hopeful on here.
Sorry to hear about your journey

I'm 24, we've been trying for 16 months and going through testing now. Well we are waiting for the specialist referral because we've had the tests the GP can do which have come back good. x

Hey Marnitoo! That's ok! Sorry about yours too! hopefully we will all get luck soon!

I have tried going to the GP but I was told they wont even test or worry til im 25 which I think is awful but nothing I can do!

Hey tink! x

The GP had me have blood tests and my partner checked, but wouldn't send us to a fertility clinic due to our age!
It's very unfair :growlmad:

Sorry you've both had rubbish experiences with GP's.

My first GP who I saw back in May was pretty much the same, ie I'm young, I just need to relax and it doesn't really matter if it doesn't happen yet. Which I wasn't very impressed about!

So I saw a different GP who has done the bloods and SA for partner and I. Pinkglitter, are you able to do that at all or is that guidelines for your practice? I noticed you are in Wales and I'm not 25 yet so don't panic about it being an NHS Wales thing!

Marni, did they give you any idea as to when they would be happy to refer you? It seems unfair not to do it yet, especially when you have PCOS.

This reminds me to check they actually did my referral!!!

x

Hi Tink :flower:
My fertility doctor at the surgery said that I would not be able to be referred until I was 25! So I have quite a long wait :coffee:

Oh youre in wales too that's cool!:)
I think I will give it til December and if still no BFP after that in January OH and I have said we will go to another GP and basically demand checks xx

Sorry to hear that Marni, that's so ridiculous!

Sounds like a good plan Pinkglitter! It seems like to get anywhere on the TTC journey with help we have to push so hard.

x

I Hate hearing "you're young, just let it happen" it's extremely frustrating. . My family has a history of infertility so when I told my doctor we stopped using bc in January and still haven't concieved she just automatically referred us to the fertility clinic.

I'm really pleased you got referred when needed.

It seems so strange to make young people wait because I figure that seeing as we are supposed to be most fertile & healthy, it actually indicates there could be a problem and surely better to sort it now than leave it for us to deal with when we are older and less fertile or more complications during pregnancy.

Very well put Tink!

That's exactly it Tink! Once you start testing there is a possibility (one we don't want to think about) that it will unveil a bigger issue. I feel like there shouldn't be an age limit on getting testing done. Most places here (in Canada) will only make you wait one year from the date you began TTC. If you haven't successfully conceived within that year than you are technically infertile and they start testing.
It hasn't been a year yet for us, but because my doctor is concerned about the family history she slipped us in early.

Hi ladies. I'm 25. Hopefully you don't think I'm old haha. This is my first month back to ttc. We tried for a year with nothing going on and then found out I have PCOS. I also have multiple sclerosis which is why we stopped. It took a long time for anyone to test me.

Hi Scarlettw!
I'm very sorry for you, that must be very difficult.. Keep positive and it will happen when it's ready :flower:

Hi Scarlett, haha definitely don't think you're old. Very sorry to hear about your struggles but hoping for the best and sending lots of baby dust your way. :)
