It means I have a tendancy to clot.... and cardiolipin antibody is assiciated with recurrent abortions. So some ladies are advised to take low dose aspirin ... to have successful pregnancies.

I've heard a couple of girls on this forum with this. May I ask how the doctors come to find out you have this condition? Did you have m/c's and then they tested?

yes how did they find this out? did u have blood tests done? i have had 2 m/c and when i have my next cycle, im having blood tests done, just wondering whether they will tests for this xxxxxxxxx

just checked my blood leaflet what im getting tested for and it had that on it, so fingers crossed, does anyone know can u buy baby apsrin over the counter? do u swallow or put these in water?? any help would be grateful xxx

Ladies, let me tell you the whole story. I miscarried in july..... after afew Beta HCG to check my blood levels... which werent doubling as required and the US showed stagnant growth with no heartbeat... . Which indicated I might (?) have an ectopic..... underwent laparoscopy which came back negative and finally I miscarried

The doctors didnt have any explanation..... they said it was an un-explained. It was painful... It took sometime for me to accept it. I blood through for 6 weeks and then had my period.

I was suffering from anxiety and depression after all this. So, I thought I need a break and went to visitmy mother in India.

My periods were late that month and as usual I suspected pregnancy. I went to meet the local gynaecologist. With my history she asked me to get my Anti - Phospholipis assay done.

All came negative... except anti-cardiolipin antibody which was 4 times higher. She told me I am more prone to clots and it could be a cause to my miscarriage and I would need aspirin during my pregnancy.

What I am not clear is..... can I take aspiring while TTC or should I wait until a BFP?
If I need to wait for a BFP.. dont u think it would be late ?

Any help...

Yes you can take baby asprin whilst TTC you should speak to your DR they can give it to and then when you conceive they monitor you and take it from there, what I mean is when/if you should come off it....

There is a user called xxxjacquixxx who has taken this because she had m/c's and s now in her 2nd trimester I know she wouldnt mind if you PM her.....

Thank you so much dear.... Yes I will PM her. I just bought a box of aspirin tablets online..... I was in a dilemma whether to use it or not!

My GP is not of much help... he says.. it is a specialist thing and he doesnt know abything about it!!!!!
I have an appoint ment with the Gynac on 23rd december.... but the thing is .. My periods havent yet came this month.. I am a week late and I will be testing tomorrow..... so I just hope it isnt too late to take aspirin.

I would start taking it as soon as you can babe....I know Jacqui has had advice on this you can read about it in her pregnancy journal!!

yeah some news... not good though!!!! got a BFN..... as expected... my period has become awkwardly abnormal after my miscarriage. God knows wen it will settle in!
