Anybody here woth endo wanna dhare your symptoms with me? I had an ultrasound a few months back and my gyn found what she thought looked like a chocolate cyst (and also a fibroid on the back of my uterus) I asked her if the cyst would cause a problem trying to conceive and ahe told me no. But as soon as I went home o got online and googled everything about it, from what i've read the cyst is a form of endometriosos, does that mean I would most likely have it elsewhere too? she put me on BCP for 3 months and the cyst was gone after 1, I finished out the other 2 months anyway. I just got AF monday and that ovary seemed to be aching a little. I've never had painful or irregular periods, but for the last 4 or so months my pelvic area hurts, but ONLY if I press on it.. Especially right above the pelvic bone. It's worse when im on my period but still only when pushed on. Does that sound like endo at all? From what i'vw read it's supposed to be like really, really bad cramps but mine is not. What do you guys think? I've been tested for infections and nothing was found. I know you guys aren't docs or anything, just want to know if any of you have endo and pain like mine.....

When they first saw my endometrioma on ultrasound I was surprised as I didn't really have any symptoms. They scanned me once a month for a few months but it didn't reduce so they operated to remove it - it turned out to be almost tennis ball sized and I had other endometriosis in other places and was diagnosed as having severe endo. They put me on letrozole and I conceived within 8 weeks of my surgery (even with male factor sub fertility too !). I had been ttc for two years in total.

I am now 16 months into ttc for my second child and I'm being sent for a scan soon as they suspect me to have another cyst of some description :(

I had one that burst - it was from endo - in fact it burst was what lead to a laproscopy and my diagnosis.
Though there may be different types or origins of chocolate cysts.

Keyannasmama, i don't think yours was an endometrioma cyst, they don't resolve with bcp's only really surgery (though high dose long term meds like prostap can help).

On ultrasound endometriomas look much like haemorraghing cysts, the latter is less of a concern and will resolve like yours did with a little time. I suspect if you ask your Dr about the cyst now they will be happy to confirm it wasn't an endometrioma after all.

With regards endo and pain that's one of the annoying things about it, everyone is different and the level of pain someone with endo suffers can bear no resemblance to how bad their endo is, ie someone can be in agony but have only stage 1 or 2 and someone can be pain free and symptomless and then find they have severe endo, stage 4.
