DS who is 3 still sleeps with us.
When he falls asleep we do transfer him to his room and cot bed and resettle few times, but eventually around 2am he ends up in our bed, so we can all have peaceful sleep.
Baby is due any day now and i have moses basket next to our bed...

Hopefully baby will sleep in moses basket, but i will need to feed and change her during the night. Would this disturb DS sleep if he is in our room?
Other option was getting Chicco Next to me crib to attach to our bed or DS and OH will be sleeping in DS room together somehow while me and baby will be in the other room.
We have super kingsize bed, so plenty room for everyone, but bed is pretty high and i wont be comfortable co sleeping all 4 of us

Any ideas/suggestions?

We do most nights. DS is 2.5 and ended up back in our bed because we couldn't deal with his wake ups as well as DD waking for feeds. He sleeps through in our bed. DD goes down in the moses basket (she's 10 weeks) and wakes for a feed at 12 then at 4 she wakes again and just comes in with me. I'll be honest, the first few weeks were stressful because she was waking lots for feeds and changes and I needed the light on to feed her so DS was waking up. But now she has a feed without lights coming on and he sleeps straight through. Hubby sleeps in the spare room and I go in the middle of DS and DD, with my back to DS so he can't squish her. It works for us and I know they won't be in our bed forever xxx

And hubby snores anyway so I sleep better with the babies 😂

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience
Its good to know that it could be done :)

We do in a king size. It goes wall, baby, mommy, toddler, daddy. Sometimes daddy and toddler switch.

If the toddler wakes and cries (until we got this nasty cold, DD was STTN or just stirring to nurse once) it will wake the baby, and I have to get DH to settle him. If DD wakes and cries (never happened until this cold!) it will cause DS to wake and cry for milk too.

Some nights it is really tough, but I'm not ready to send DS to his own bed yet - he just doesn't seem ready yet. It's only a short time. I am hoping to wait until DD is 18 months or so and move them TOGETHER to their own bed....we'll see.

Before Ds2 arrived we trained dS1 into sleeping in his own bed but still in our room. When our youngest appeared he slept in a bassinet next to our bed. I breastfed and was able to feed and change Ds2 without disturbing our oldest. I just made sure to have a good night light. We are all still in the same room (but all in separate beds) and even now that he's 5 months and teething Ds2 never wakes his brother. It actually seems to have helped control the youngest waking times. Both boys wake for the day at the same time sometime between 7 and 8 am. We've moved internationally and all sleeping in the same room has really helped with the jet lag and strange environments our toddler has encountered staying at various relatives homes.

We wont be able to put bed against wall, but i get the idea! We'll try and see howmit goes
OH says that DS probably would want to go into his room himself if baby cries too much :)

We don't keep the night light on all night, I just put it on when I need it to deal with our youngest.

Violet was 2 years, 4.5 months old when Leo was born. At the start, the three of us were on a full and my husband was on a twin in the same room. Both mattresses were on the floor. Now we have a king on a box spring. We sleep on it sideways to give it extra width. It's also in the corner of the room so our heads are against a wall and Leo can't roll off. We all fit just fine with this arrangement. Attending to Leo at night, disturbed Violet a lot less than I anticipated. She didn't sleep as well in the morning for a while, though.
