Anyone conceived 2 days or more before O?

TTC Baby #2 using the "Shettles" method. For a boy BD on Peak day or 12 hours before and for a girl BD 3-4 days before O. Our first baby boy is now 19 months so we are hoping for a girl. We won't be disappointed if we have another boy though!

Has anyone gotten pregnant 2-3 days before O? This is my 2nd cycle TTC so I'm hoping I don't have to go through too many cycles before I get a BFP!

Hi there, I hope you don't mind me popping in from 3rd Tri... after conceiving a son 4.5 years after TTC we felt blessed, then it came time to think about if we wanted a sibling for our DS. (by the way I suffer from chronic severe Fibromyalgia) So DS was 10 months old an our fertility specialist told us to start trying and that hopefully it would not take much more than a year to conceive... the first month of trying we started to BD around 6dpo every night, but by around 9dpo I was shattered, I was in so much pain that I had tears rolling down my face during the deed. DH and I decided it was best to leave it for that month an try again... being that O was 5 days away we knew there was no hope for that month.... Well Guess What!!!! I fell, and I knew I O'd 5 days later cos of the pain it causes me and sympoms plus my experience in TTC... so YES I have fallen preg, conceived 5 days before O!! to a little girl of course

Ahh!! How wonderful That makes me so excited! I'm about 2-3 days out now from O. We BD today and am wondering if we should again tomorrow. I want to give those girl swimmers a fighting chance because I know how fast those boys are! Thank you for the encouragement. Very happy for you!! Praying I get some pink this go round!

aww YAY!! Okay, so I'm using a fertility monitor and OPK's. I'm on CD10 now and am expecting O on CD14. Last month my Peak days were 14-15 but we didn't BD then because that was my first cycle since getting my IUD removed. I also took a OPK tonight and the test line was still lighter than the control line so I'm thinking I've got a few more days.
Do you think I would be safe to BD tomorrow as well as Monday which would be CD 11-12? I would probably stop at that point....what do y'all think? I LOVE my son but I definitely would LOVE to have a daughter!

I did we only managed to bd once that cycle cause he was away and it was two days before ov, I thought I was out for the month but we got pregnant!

I would say try stopping 3 days out to be safe and see how u go... remember its not a exact science and you could still end up with a boy either way

Hiya,

Have you heard that diet has a huge role in swaying as well and vaginal and semen PH? Which can be lowered/increased by changing your diet and takings supps!

Thank you! Yes, I've read a book by Dr. shettles and have also done research on an acidic/alkaline diet. On CD1 I started the acidic diet and my pH is currently a 4.5. It's been really hard to stick too but from what I've read the male sperm can't survive long in an acidic environment but the girl sperm thrive!!

i feel i must've. i wasnt tracking but the only times in the cycle i got pregnant that we dtd were cd 8, 9 and 10 lol of a usually 35 day cycle oh and it was a girl!

We have a lovely boy, but my husband is from a family of 3 boys, my mom is in the middle of two brothers, as is my dad. After I had my son, I realized that I am destined to have boys, but we are trying all of the wives-tales for a girl. I will have to look into this book

No worries, I'm swaying boy

With my 2DDs I was using the CBFM with no pref to gender, we bd'd on most high days and on both of my peaks, no idea what my CM ph was though! My eldest is a DS, I've never swayed before in the past.

Gender swaying is not 100%, but it doesn't hurt to try, if we get lucky bonus! but the real bonus is a healthy baby of either gender

Well, I was expecting my O on CD14 but it O just happened to show up this morning on CD12. We BD CD9, 10, 11 in the am. I used an OPK last night at 10pm and it was positive.

I'm so nervous now that I didn't hold out long enough to give those girl swimmers a chance. I have been on an acidic diet since CD1 and got my pH down to a 4.5. I've also been taking supplements...calcium, magnesium and cranberry. Oh dear..I don't know what to think.

THANK YOU!! You have no idea...I've been worrying all day for some crazy reason. Super duper crampy today and my ovary is so sore so I know I've already ovulated. Bless you and Congrats on two little girls! Hope to have a daughter one day myself I will send you a pm at the end of my tww and let you know if I had a BFN or a BFP and will for sure let you know when I do conceive what the gender is. Totally blessed either way!
