I had a quick question, I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago, and the lady who did the US said all was fine. I was wondering if such things as polyps/fibroids , can they ever be missed during an ultrasound ? If there is any such problems they definitely should be seen on an ultrasound isn't it ? What do you guys think ? and how did they figure out that your polyp existed ? was that due to an US or something else ? Sorry about too many questions, I'm possibly analysing too much !

On a normal ultrasound they usually can tell if there is something. With a normal ultrasound was told I had a fibroid or a polyp, but it was small and not to worry about considering my age and having no symptoms.

Can I ask why you are asking about missing things? Are there things going on that could be caused by a fibroid/polyp? Then they would follow up if they saw anything.

If you are wondering about fertility, a fertility specialist is a good idea. I went to get a fertility check up (everything from estrogen and thyroid to ultrasounds where they put saline or dye in the uterus). It was during a sonohysterogram that they saw a small group of polyps (1 ~1 cm, and 2 or 3 tiny ones).

If you can, I highly recommend going to see a fertility specialist if you think there's something that they did not see as problematic for your own health. For instance, the only things that came back were polyps and a sluggish thyroid. Both were considered innocuous for my own health, but are possible fertility issues and will be treated now. The way the doctor explained, with an area of polyps ~2 cm altogether that cannot support implantation and considering everything else came back ok, this is likely the culprit.

Ready4number1, i'm curious about your polyp removal. I'm scheduled for a hysteroscopy because of a polyp. Hoping a bump ruins my plans. Happy to hear any info you're willing to share.

So far I had AF type cramps 2-4 dpo, metallic taste 3-4dpo, and I'm bone tired.

Hello there! Welcome to the group! Your symptoms sound great!!! Is the polyp in your uterus? My last time trying I had all the pregnancy symptoms you could imagine. I knew I was pregnant but turns out I wasn't. I really think I was but the baby couldn't implant because of the polyp Mine was in my uterus.

It is great you are scheduled for the hysterscopy. The procedure to remove the polyp is very simple and my recovery time was short. I couldn't BD for 2 weeks but the post surgery spotting only lasted for a couple days and that is great because I had been bleeding on and off for months.

Polyps do not always prevent implantation but I read it is one of the leading causes for infertility. But do not stress. If you do not conceive this month I definitely say have it removed ASAP. A lot of women go on to conceive very quickly after the removal!! A lot of the stories I read women conceived their following cycle. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, polyps can be missed during an ultrasound, not sure about fibroids. You may want to ask for a sonohystogram just to be sure. I had a suggestion of one, so the did the sonohystogram and discovered 1 more.

Hey ladies. I really hope you guys get your BFP's but I am pretty sure I am out. I am 12 dpo and got BFN so I think my BFP would have shown up by now. Maybe it wasn't a "sticky baby?" I am also considering that the Maca I am taking may be the cause of all of my pregnancy symptoms. It is a food that nourishes the endocrine system so it sounds unlikely, but I had been taking it the last time I thought I was pregnant as well. It works miracles for so many others. This is a hard day for me. Lat night I just knew I would get a positive this morning. I really can't stand this. I just want to it off. Had to be progesterone.

well it's the 13th so I am finally 10DPO. just woke up, had some lower back pain, felt some slight cramps, but when I got up and moved around for a minute and then sat back down in front of the computer they intensified a little bit. BB's still a little tender cm is back to milky white and creamy, cervix still firm, haven't felt any nausea yet, usually doesn't come until afternoon. I keep fighting the urge to test, but I'm afraid it's too early and I only have 1 test right now until the 30th..lol so I have to fight off the urge until at least 16DPO just to be on the safe side.

11 DPO today for me, still mild cramping, boobies a little tender, lower back pain last night, nausea last night and a little right now, cm went from white to clear again, so not dry or anything, don't know if that's a good sign. cervix still firm. Af isn't due for another 6 or 7 days, so will keep everyone posted.

I did have a crazy dream last night. I don't know if that is saying much because I am a dreamer anyway and a lot of them are odd. But this one I distinctly remember a little dinosaur in one scene lol. About the size of a medium sized dog. Speaking of dogs, there were 3 that ran into my house knocked down dog food (why i had dog food i don't know, i have a cat) and began to devour it. lol

I am sure my AF is right around the corner. I am carrying protection in case it starts at work. I have not tested since Monday and have accepted that this is not my month.

I also vowed last night to not visit forums after this month. I read a publication on PubMed which said that most women don't feel symptoms until 2-4 weeks after implantation. The symptoms felt could very well be stress, PMS and a lot of times just normal functions that we read into.

I believe in women's instincts and all...but I think I went overboard.

I can understand why you could feel that way. And it does make sense. Who knows, maybe since you will have less stress next month it may be your month. I am having AF cramps right now as well. It is depressing. But I just need to accept it. It was really nice talking to you and be sure to say goodbye

Wow, i really am impressed with your patience and willpower! I'm on 12DPO (my last period came at 12 days but are very hard to track given the irregularity of them) and have already tested twice today...just in case FRER was lying to me and CB+ wouldn't. Arrrrgg, the craziness of probably non-pregnant brains!

Hi ready4number1- I've also been having very vivid, very odd dreams. In fact last night I had a pet dream. I was a spy and was trying not to get caught. My birds kept escaping from their cages and I was trying to get them back without yelling at them.

On Sunday morning, I didn't remember my dream, but when I touched a shirt in my closet, the whole dream came back completely, sort of like flashing before my eyes.

Sorry if this is TMI, but I think my bbs have grown almost overnight. They're also very sensitive- now they ache at the sides and not just the, ahem, center.

Wow thanks for sharing your dream. Do you really have birds? And the tops of my breast were sore last night with stinging nipples. Today it's very very very mild. But yesterday it wasn't bad either just noticeable

I am starting to get some hope back guys. I was afraid to post this but I have to tell someone. Well, I took a nap and woke up from it about 3 times, each time my mouth was DRY! Very dry. When I finally woke up I was not really hungry at first, I got on the cpu and couldn't really focus on what I was reading almost like I was a bit dizzy. I had a sandwich waiting for me from the DH so I grabbed it to eat it. I went from 0 to 60 in terms of hunger in a New York SECOND. I had two hot flashes, the second one being the worst, I thought I would sweat. I am nothing but a water drinker but needed a sugary drink. As soon as I drank a sip I became mildly nauseous. The hot flashes lasted a little while. I will explain it like this. It is 76 degrees outside. It felt like 96 in the house. I don't want to jinx it because I have been known to get the shakes when I am very hungry, it is just that the hunger came out of no where. Here's hoping

Felt a bit naceous a couple times today and went light headed, a bit dizzy when I was looking at my phone. My teeth and gums are still sore. Quite painful at times. Have had slight cramps on and off all day. I'm still bloated and my stomach feels tight. My lower back ache is still there too..

I was doing some research earlier on the cheap amazon tests I bought and not very good reviews. I got some tesco ones today so going to take one in the morning and hope for the best. I'm hoping that the cheap tests have been giving me false negatives but I think that's just wishful thinking! Ill be 12 or 13dpo tomorrow x

Felt a bit naceous a couple times today and went light headed, a bit dizzy when I was looking at my phone. My teeth and gums are still sore. Quite painful at times. Have had slight cramps on and off all day. I'm still bloated and my stomach feels tight. My lower back ache is still there too..

I was doing some research earlier on the cheap amazon tests I bought and not very good reviews. I got some tesco ones today so going to take one in the morning and hope for the best. I'm hoping that the cheap tests have been giving me false negatives but I think that's just wishful thinking! Ill be 12 or 13dpo tomorrow x

Which brand did Amazon send? Mine are ProMatris and have either been BFNs, scratched or fall apart very quickly!
