Anyone else Consultant led?

How often do you get seen? I know last time I got seen every month and had extra scans but I was wondering if this is the same for everyone or is it down to the circumstances? x

It's down to circumstances. With DD I was consultant led and saw them twice the whole time. This time I'll be seeing them monthly from 20 weeks

I had uteroplacental insuffiency in my last pregnancy leading my Bella to be born small and go into fetal distress and be born at 34+1 and go into an NICU Incubator. I would like to attempt a VBA2C… I am hopeful they will support this. I just wondered whether I will have extra scans etc x

Another consultant led, had a tough pregnancy last time inc prem labour and my heart condition. I've been seen pretty much every much this time around and have extra scans to check on bumps growth as DS was very small (35+3), I've also got midwife appointments every second month with our local midwife as I'm out of area for the hospital.

I am consultant led this time round, I seen her age 14 weeks and wont see her again until 36 weeks unless I have any complications

I imagine under those circumstances you would get extra scans x

It really depends why you're under the care of a consultant. In my case, it's because it's an IVF pregnancy. I had my first consultant appointment at 17 weeks and was then scheduled for growth scans at 32 & 36 weeks, due to the increased risk of baby being born small/earlier. Providing all is okay at my next scan and baby has gone head down (he was transverse at my last scan), I'll have the option of being discharged to midwife led care for the birth.

Very much down to circumstances. I'm consultant led. Had a lot of extra scans because there's issues with the baby so they need to monitor how she's growing. Only seen the consultant twice though (and one of those times it was the registrar, who was totally useless).

I'm con lead due to twins, I get seen every 4 weeks from 20 weeks , for scans and consultation

I'm consultant lead. Generally due to BMI, but since the last pregnancy end in a late miscarriage they are scan my cervix fortnightly. Just what I've always wanted someone probing something up me. Then from 26 weeks I get a scan every 3 weeks I believe to see how the baby is growing due to BMI (It wasn't in place with DD so that's new). So its just circumstances. I'm seeing the consultant a lot more this time also, only saw him three times last pregnancy.

Im under consultant care but its mainly midwives I see.
I saw my consultant after my dating scan and she said it waa because of my BMI and previous prem birth (not super early, 36weeks)
I will also she her again after my growth scan at 35weeks where she wants me weighed and to go through the results of my scan. X

I am because I'm a fatty lol!
I would normally only see them before 20 weeks which I have, and again for a 34 week scan.
However for to post labour blood pressure issues I'm on pre eclampsia watch so need my blood pressure done weekly from 20 weeks and if anything shows up I'll get sent back for closer care.

i'm consultant led due to genetic condition, my height, slightly curve in my spin and because of previous iugr baby and failing placenta.
I saw mine at 16 weeks, they next time I see him will be at my growth scans at 28, 32, and 36 weeks.

I'm consultant-led due to MC-DA twins (sharing a placenta). From 16 weeks I've had a scan and review every two weeks and this will continue until I have them at around 36 weeks (fingers crossed they stay in that long!). I think it completely depends why you're under consultant-led care as to how often you see them.

I am due to lupus and chiari malformation. Also I had low fluid and slow growth with dd. I saw the consultant at 7,12,20 weeks and will be scanned and seen at 29,32 and 36 weeks. C sec is booked for 39 weeks (hoping we can get there!). I will also see the midwife at the usual times, 28 weeks next. I love my consultant this time!
