Anyone else dealing with PID?

Hi, I've been away from the site for a long time. DH and I have been TTC for over three years. I had my LAP and dye test about 4 months ago and the Dr. discovered I had pelvic inflammitory disease. He said my tubes were twisted and kinked. He repaired and straightened them the best he could, but said PID affectes the villi in the F.tubes on a microscopic level and he didn't think my chances for conceiving were very good, but to keep trying. He thinks IVF is my best bet, but my insurance doesn't cover it. Anyone else have PID issues?

I was thought to have it too. I was given an oral medication. I had a lap and they didn't mention that they saw it. But, the did mention that ivf is really the only way for us to get pg.

I have to pay for ivf too - it is so much - but I am really left with no choice - so here we go...

ga girl,
They think PID is what destroyed my tubes. I had two ectopics in one tube and had it removed then then the other just last week due to an ectopic. There really is no way to tell how the inside of the tubes look without cutting them open. Best of luck to you now with no tubes I will be saving for IVF as that is our only option and my insurance doesnt cover it either.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. My doctor told me that even if I did conceive, there would be a great chance of a tubal pg. Save up for that IVF, it will work, and you'll finally have your precious bundle.
