Anyone else doing injectables? Gonal-F, Bravelle, etc.?

Progesterone rising can cause the nausea. I know with my son I got sick really early. Fingers crossed its a good sign but that doesn't happen again.

I agree with Lawyer. Probably nothing to worry about unless it happens again. Hopefully it's a symptom of an impending bfp!

Thanks ladies. I know the day after the IUI is way too early, but that was just strange. This is going to be the longest tww.

5dpo for me, I was triggered using overdril last Monday and ovulated last Wed which was very obvious as I was very bloated and uncomfortable. Hoping we have caught one of the follies or if lucky even two, I had one very good sized follicle at 21 and two more measuring 14 and 15 which may or may not have developed enough. This tww is really dragging on, need something to keep me occupied and keep my mind off things. Hope everyone else is well x

So it looks like we are about 2 days apart. I triggered on Wednesday the 16th. FF has my O on the Friday.

I have about 9 eggs in there and I also want 1 or two. There are benefits to both so I would be happy either way.

I am having less symptoms than I normally do. But the biggest difference is my swollen uterus. I guess with that many eggs they take up a lot of room in there.

How are you feeling? Just a couple more days to go. :happydance:

Hi ladies, I'm doing femara/bravelle combo iui after 5 clomid cycles. Has anybody done this combo? I O on my own so I'm not sure what this will do but I hope it's the magic meds!

TTC First - Great to hear someone who is very close to me with cycle, looks like we ovulated 2 days apart. Did you have 9 eggs measuring above 14 or 9 eggs in total? I would love to catch two of the follicles and end up with twins but would atm just be so happy to get a bfp as I am not feeling too positive with no symptoms at the moment, thought we might be in with a good chance as I had 3 follies but who knows!! Suppose I am just at that frustrated point of the tww and just want to know either way. Good luck with this cycle, have my fingers crossed for us both.

Lanet - Hope all works well for you hun, I took puregon injections which is a fsh injection just like your bravelle injection, we haven't done the IUI but hopefully it will give you that extra boost you need if you ovulate, gets the sperm closely to its goal lol!!! I have tried Femara on its own but it didn't work, my main issue is my high lh though, am I right in thinking the fermara will reduce your estragon level, hope it works for you.

lanet- Femara is like the Gonal I took, not sure about the braville. I didn't take anything with Gonal.

Hoping4no.2 - Always nice to have someone on your cycle. Believe it or not, it was 9 1.5 and above. The day of my trigger I had LS - 2.0 1.7 1.5, 1.3, 1.1 RS 2.1, 1.8, 1.7, 1.7, 1.5, 1.3, 1.1. I was quite full when I Oed and felt bloated.

I am very positive about this cycle and half of me is hoping it leads to twins and the other half is better off with a single. So either way I will be happy of course.

I am also really excited this month because DH has a birthday on 11dpo. I am really hoping that I can test on that day. That would be a great life long story. He is hard to buy for so this gives me a a gift to give him that I know he will like. lol

Thanks girls. I only had 1 follie with my last iui so I'm really hoping for more. 4 is the most she would allow so I'll take 4! Lol

Well if you are doing injections for the first time, let us give you the warning. BE CAREFUL!!!! We are the crew that get hyperstimulated so we know. Start slow because you don't know how you will react. I did 2 cycles on clomid 50 and 100 mg and got 1 follicle on each. I did the starting dose of 150ui on Gonal F and ended up with 17 follicles. I dropped to 75 and ended up with 1. This cycle I went right in the middle at 112.5 and got 9 mature (12 in total). If you are limited to 4 that's not much.

Oh no! Well I'm doing 5mg of femara cd 3-7 and 75 iu (?) of bravelle cd 3,5,7. I hope I don't overstimulate! Did you have symptoms or just know at your follie check?

Did your dr allow you to do iui with that many?

I didn't get the symptoms of overstimulation. from what I read you tend to get them if you trigger or get PG, the HSG causes the symptoms. I went for my follie check and they ended up cancelling the IUI. I was worried this time with the 9. I went in the day before my trigger and was told I had 4 that were 1.6 and larger and that 1.6 would not likely fertilize. He said I could wait a day but others may catch up and there may be a lot there. He may recommend not doing the IUI is that happened. I ended up waiting and the doctor that day said there is a chance of twins maybe triplets but not much more. He wasn't worried and gave me the trigger. I was happy about that one.

So now you are in the 2ww? I think this is a pretty low dose but I guess there's no way to know how my body will react. I was wondering, if they do cancel, do you still bd? I would want to even if they said no but I do not want quadruplets! Lol
I'm just hoping for the best chances after 3 years with not 1 bfp. Good luck to you, when do you test?

TTC First - Gosh hun that is a hell of a lot of follies measuring above 14, I know they have to really reach 16 or above to be viable but you are one brave lady, your odds are very good of catching one or two though - good look love. My clinic would not have allowed a cycle with so many to go ahead, I was warned very heavily about having the three follies and had to sign paperwork to say I was aware of the situation, my fertility specialist did not the two measuring 14 and 15 would be viable though so we went ahead. No wonder you felt so bloated hun!!!!!!!! How amazing would it be to give your DH such a good present :), I keep thinking of the fun of announcing our news when we reach 12 weeks if we are successful this time as it will fall over Christmas!

Lanet - Good luck with your cycle, like TTC First said start nice and slow with the injections, when I was ttc dd I started on 75mg of puregon with no reaction so was then increased to 100mg and finally 150mg which worked well. This time they started me on 100mg and it didn't need to be increased at all and worked well.

AFM - 3 more sleeps before I test, last night I would have sworn to you I was pregnant, I could not sleep at all during the night and by breasts were so tender, this morning I even had some slight sickness (maybe I just needed food though!), but now I have nothing no sign at all. Mind you trying to stay positive had no real signs with DD either.

Thanks and I hope you get your bfp when you test! How exciting to announce on Christmas! I keep thinking I could have my bfp for thanksgiving. I ovulate on my own, just late, so I'm not sure how I will react to these meds. Do any of you O on your own?

Thanks hun, I keep thinking in the back of my mind that things can't work out so perfectly (they usually don't!) but will we see, trying to stay positive. I don't ovulate at all due to my pcos, probably a good idea that they start you slowly if you ovulate naturally, this might just give you the boost you need. - good luck x

pbl_ge - I'm no longer on clomid, done 6 doses and so I can't ever take them again. My 1st Gonal F failed. I'm doing a natural now bc I had 5 cysts (over stimulated). If this natural fails, then we're doing another Gonal F, starting at 112.5 units on CD3.

Hi ladies. Do you mind if I jump in with a question? I'm debating using gonal-f on my next cycle but am not sure about it.

I have low ovarian reserve and I think I sometimes ovulate on my own.
I did 3 cycles of Femara 7.5 mg + ovidrel. I made 1 folli each time and no BFP.
The following month I got BFP on a natural cycle!! Sadly I miscarried at 8 weeks.
My doctor said I can use gonal-f on my next cycle. We agree that I will probably get pregnant eventually on my own but I don't have much time to play with because of another medical issue. Plus we are 37 and 42 and we already ttc for 18 months. I feel that the gonal-f will speed up the process.

My concern, of course, is about multiples. I have a friend that didn't show all that many follies and then got pregnant with quads!! Hubby and I have talked about it and twins is fine with both of us. More is scary. Having so many to need a reduction is really scary. My doctor is pretty conservative but lots of cycles is expensive so starting out slow has drawbacks too.

What are your stories of over or under stimulation?
How many follies is ideal? How many is too many?
Do you have any advise for me?

Thanks in advance for your help and thanks also for letting me crash your forum :)
